This stunt not only goes against the spirit of the Question 1 vote and shrugs off the will of 17k KCMO voters:
KC Streetcar Authority moves forward with study of extension - Kansas City Business Journal
The Kansas City Streetcar Authority Inc. is moving forward with researching a potential southern extension, an important step in gaining needed funding for the project. A team led by HDR Engineering will study the best approach for continuing the line to the University of Missouri-Kansas City's Volker Campus.
For those who constantly claim that only the residents who live along the route pay for the streetcar, where does the money for "a study" come from?
ReplyDeleteLast time PIAC funds from around the city were raided.
Another sucking chest wound on KCMO's general fund.
Weez neez dem overhead wire trainz for duh public!
ReplyDeletesLIE vested in toy trains says screw you people, I'll do what I want and I'm black so you can't do a damn thing to stop me!
ReplyDeleteWe all knew they wouldn't pay any attention to what the voters said.
ReplyDeleteWe look forward to tech hitting the gong on these asshats but not before they waste many tens of millions if they get their way. I listen to them, they sound stupid and oblivious, hit the gong Elon
ReplyDeleteDelay the airport and delay the Streetcar then watch what tech does to obsolete both plans, Streetcar and Airport approaches. Note how poorly they emphasize the real breakthroughs of our time, pools of electric autonomous shuttles. This is not strategy it is a rush job for pork and a misguided unknowing wrong fix of the real estate interests. Out of their depth but choosing to stay ignorant with no grasp of coming extraordinary breakthroughs. Complete systemic planning debacle, typical of arrogant and oblivious Sly administration insider pork fixes. Already obsolete. Tom should have to write an essay on why Streetcar extensions need to be rushed and how they are superior to autonomous shuttles.
ReplyDeleteIndex was from the real estate class.
That would be one weak essay, we won't even ask Sly to explain because he clearly has never understood any of this, hit the gong.
ReplyDeleteRockhurst mafia, really? What bs
ReplyDeleteIt is rhetorical open season on these asshats, council ask Tom for his essay and numbers, I am glad to provide one for comparisons sake but why don't we let public evaluate
ReplyDeleteBrought to you by Sly James and the ignorant and arrogant asshats, bringing the fix to you in living color
ReplyDeleteWay to go Rockhurst mafia, he's your man
ReplyDeleteWhile you are at it have cheerleader Bob explain the benefits and costs of the smart city, we will gladly counter that sinkhole without a clue too
ReplyDeleteSly, compromised and 0 for 3
