Waldo homeowners schedule meeting with city leaders to discuss flooding

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Nona Sweeten loves living in Waldo. "I love it out here. People are great. Great restaurants, a couple of good bars out there," Sweeten said. The problem is that she oftentimes needs a boat to get there. Sweeten said her block looks like a river whenever there's a significant downpour.

  2. Don't they know we have more important things to do in city government: streetcars, downtown hotel, airport, taking care of our campaign contributors, etc. Citizens of KC what do you expect for electing dummocrats for 89 years.

Well, if we still had an EPA, you could tell the EPA that since the city has absolutely no intention of fixing the problem, that they should now come in & fix the problem, & then give the city the bill.

In the meantime, just lie & say that Mexico will pay for it.

  7. Waldo used to be a great place to live. Now it's dangerous and wet. I feel bad for the people who own houses in the flood plain. The city is not going to do ANYTHING to help you. That's the truth.
