The second oldest son of Mayor Sly James followed his father's footsteps into the Marines, the study of law and now he's venturing into the world of politics.
And yeah, his law firm has a blog . . .
In fact, their latest post was penned by Mr. Malik James and takes on the new Missouri Guv in no uncertain terms. Checkit:
Greitens’ signature on discrimination law is an injustice to Missourians
Money line:
Gov. Eric Greitens, a privileged white man, decided discrimination is no longer a pervasive evil. He clearly doesn’t understand race cannot be hidden. He signed into law Senate Bill 43, a bill making it easier and less costly for businesses to unlawfully discriminate against protected classes in the workplace.
How can I, in good faith, tell my son he can be proud of his heritage and all he needs to do is work hard to make his way, when I know it’s easier now for his employer to discriminate against him at work because of that very heritage?
Greitens and I are both veterans. I’m a proud United States Marine. I returned — from a traumatic, violent war in Iraq — as I left, a black man in America. And I found our nation’s attitudes toward people of color are unchanged . . .
Read the whole thing . . . It's also cross-posted in the newspaper but more people will read it on TKC.
Overall, the post offers a personal spin on the talking points for the Democratic Party full-court press against Guv Greitens despite his easy victory over a formidable competitor amid the tidal wave of Missouri support for Prez Trump.
You decide . . .
Says a very privileged black man.....
ReplyDeleteexactly! and a light skinned black at that
ReplyDeleteJews are white now? Usually they only claim to be white when attacking white culture from 'within'
ReplyDeleteJames makes good points. Our governor is not fit to lead our state.
ReplyDeleteLike Sly is qualified to be Mayor
DeleteJust what this country needs:
ReplyDeleteAnother young black man ready to lead us back to the grievances of the 1960's.
So round up all the latest buzz words and phrases, try to make believe that you have anything at all in common with fake organizations like Black Lives Matter, make some over-the-top comments which you hope will attract more Twitter followers, and maybe even cash in by filing law suits.
KCMO's east side is a sad commentary of what people just like this who are self-appointed "leaders" have done for decades. And mostly to their own benefit.
Where there is no vision, the people perish.
And where has his concern been during the carnage that has been taking place east of Troost?
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
^^^Blah Blah Blah..Dumb and uninformed comments. What have you ever done in you life? At least this dude is trying. He is putting his money where his mouth is. You're just putting your mouth where everybody's dick is. You and people like you, are what's wrong with this country. Always criticizing everyone else who is in the arena. You're nothing but a big-mouthed blowhard.
ReplyDeleteNah. What's wrong with this country is useless grifter politicians like Mayor Bullhorn and his son lil' Bullhorn here.
DeleteDon't get so excited about a simple public statement. I see words, nothing else.
greitens is smarter than two of his opponents combined.
ReplyDeletehe may be inclined to random stuff because of his inexperience and idealism but he should be able to figure it out.
in the meantime, he's a high-quality leader. a citizen leader, not a swamp creature.
You all heard we were the 38th state to implement this....... this law includes white people too, or does that not fit the race baiter agenda
ReplyDelete'Protected class' oh God damn do I hate that phrase and 7:38 you come across as a quite the articulately cocksucker for your 'cause'... keep at it,Fuck stain. You're flying high you're going places buddy. What a fucking jack off idiot
ReplyDeleteWhen is he dropping his mix tape?
ReplyDelete7:01
ReplyDelete+1
7:38 Go fuck yourself.
Great, just what we need, another rich black "victim" in politics keeping the bruthas all pissed off at whitey so he can feast at the trough of tax payer funded legislation that fucks tax payers.
The metronomic, never ending whining from the "Protected Class" who have had first crack at jobs, employment, college, etc unto the sun going nova is finally waking up white people who are sick of legislation, laws and edicts from elected and unelected parasitical bureaucrats who suck the life's blood out of the economy in pursuit of money, power and sinecure based on the color of their skin.
19 Trillion dollars spent since the beginning of Civil Rights Legislation and all we have to show for it, is anger, contempt, malevolence and a tsunami of Black on White Hate crimes that we are all supposed to ignore.
There is no discernible sunset, or expiration on these racist, ignorant and pernicious laws, which kill the economy, encourage hatred and cripple business'. Our grandchildren will be paying the same penalties for being born the wrong color (White) to people that are professional victims.
I am dead, in a black on white hate crime, that will never be solved.
Dey is some cream in da' coffee wit' dis nigga.
ReplyDeleteHes right. Its all the white mans fault. Blacks are gods original chosen people.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteLook at the racism in James comment...(I left a black man in America) let me remind you JAMES, you are biracial, what a slap in your mothers face, and also denial that you are part white.
No, the attitudes toward people of color have only gotten worse and with good reason.
Your statement here proves my point!
Your fathers actions in Kansas City also prove my point.
Yep. His own words prove HE HATE WHITEY. And for an "educated" man, a lawyer even, to say (about Greitens, labeled as having white privilege by Malik) "He clearly doesn't understand race cannot be hidden."
DeleteWTF?! SO, MALIK'S GOT "WHITE PRIVILEGE" AND IS OF "PROTECTED CLASS".
AND, JAMES IS GOING TO MAKE SURE HE'S GOT "RACE" FRONT AND CENTER, WITH NO CHANCE IT'S ANYWHERE NEAR HIDDEN!
Yeah, he's a real "man of the people". That fuckin portrait costs a couple of hundred dollars.
ReplyDeleteHe is richer than the poor misunderstood black dude who went on the hunger strike at MU.
What a load of fuckin shit.
The suit is a thousand bucks too.
ReplyDeleteThe mayor is an asshole but he sure makes good looking kids.
ReplyDeleteGod damn that is one ugly ass self-important, self entitled mulatto.
ReplyDeleteHe has dads lips
ReplyDeleteUh huh. Can't see in that seated portrait if he has his dad's belly and hips.
DeleteJames is pissed that from now on he will have to prove in court that racial discrimination was the motivating factor in the decision to fire his client, in order to collect attorneys' fees (which is really what it's all about).
ReplyDeleteKind of a pasty greyish man in America, to be honest.
ReplyDeleteKind of what I was thinking. He looks like a cadaver
ReplyDeleteWe can only hope being a cadaver is in the near future for him
DeleteMissouri is a red state do you think the people in NEVADA MISSOURI CARE WHAT JAMES THINK THE VOTERS WILL DECIDE ON THE GOVERNOR. AND IF YOU ARE DOING YOUR JOB IN THE WORK PLACE YOU ARE A VALUE TO YOUR EMPLOYER. WE HAVE ALL SEEN IT THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT SHOWS UP TO WORK EVERY DAY, AND THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT CALL IN SICK A COUPLE OF DOZEN TIMES A YEAR. WHO DO YOU THINK SHOULD LOOSE THERE JOB.
ReplyDeleteMalik, what say you about answering this: Was it the WHITEY half of Kyle James that was so privileged for him to get such light consequences for his series of unlawful acts?
ReplyDeleteFuck slys son, a privledged mulatto far from the reaches of montgall ave, drumming up the civil rites era racebait machine
ReplyDeleteI wonder if dude knows how silly he sounds. Half-white son of an ambulance chasing race-baiter wanting to preach on racial injustice.
ReplyDeleteAnd that suit. Come on guy, you're ex military. Do better. Daddy's grifter bucks can help, just like they helped you avoid criminal accountability.
Good luck!
If Sly and Byron had a son together, he'd look like Malik.
ReplyDeleteThe racists contend that there is no racism.
ReplyDeleteThis bill was a HATE BILL, pure & simple.
12:08, your obsession with me is mental illness.
Race Baiter Byron, defending his kindred spirit mayor and son. Do you guys believe in personal accountability, not excuses, for anything?
ReplyDelete^^^and you're just another piece of poor white-trash. This city already has too many of those. Get back to your trailer and medicate your pain away with some more opioids Cletus.
ReplyDeleteSo chuck..aka Jeffrey Flanagan..aka 8:12AM...let me see if I am following you here..blacks & the protected class, as well as the Progressives and the MSM, activists, entertainers and Hollywood are working to destroy the country??? I want to make sure I'm reading you correctly. You say blacks, the protected class, activists, entertainers, Hollywood, the MSM, and progressives are working in concert to bring down the country?? OMG!!! What do we do here?? How can we stave off the invasion of activists, the left, progressives, the MSM, blacks, the protected classes, Hollywood and entertainers? These people are running agendas you say? To overthrow the government you say? To kill whitey you say? The blacks, the protected classes, the Progressives, the left, Hollywood, the activists, the MSM, and all of the entertainers?/ Working closely together to run an agenda by which they destroy America you say?? Oh God No! Oh no no no no no!
ReplyDeleteYou forgot to mention queers like yourself
DeleteJust point at 0bama, tiger, oprah, or any of a dozen or so super successful people of color and say, "they worked hard and got to the top of their field, now you go and do the same instead of focusing on what is holding you, your father and your grandfather back"
ReplyDeleteHey 1:05, put on your pussy hat and protest for a $15 an hour minimum wage. You losers need to make a lot more than that to pay off your student debt.
ReplyDeleteIt was not a hate bill, it was a common sense bill, as the majority of jurisdictions have concluded. To win a racial discrimination employment lawsuit, it should be necessary to prove that racial discrimination was the motivating factor in the employment decision. Just like to win a personal injury lawsuit, it is necessary to prove that the proximate cause of the injury was the defendant's negligence.
ReplyDeleteHey 2:37, get home to the trailer, fire up the kiddie porn, and zone out with some meth. You white-trash need to get off the federal dole. We are tired of supporting your lazy shiftless ass.
ReplyDelete1) You know this post from Eric James is PURE BULLSHIT from the opening paragraph. What do I mean? The first several sentences are CLEARLY a fabrication, written by an adult who is attempting to sway the reader into letting their guard down and to feel sympathetic for the further BULLSHIT that they're about to spew forth. It's a very old and lame writer's trick. I'm surprised he didn't mention orphans and widows, puppies and kittens.
ReplyDelete2) Read this: "My son will not be raised to “play the race card.” We teach him that if he wants to become something he must do it on the content of his character and his own credibility, which must and will be earned." Didn't he just previously state that his son is 5 years old? Who talks to their 5-year old about "the content of his character"? Nice MLK Jr. reference there Mr. James, but you are burying yourself in more BULLSHIT.
3) Here's a real beauty: "Our nation, through much struggle, evolved to realize that because of the invidious and often hidden realities of racial discrimination, laws must be enacted prohibiting discrimination to allow people of color and other protected classes equality of opportunity." What a freaking mess of a sentence! That's so bad it must have been contributed by James' partner Brian Noland, who typically overreaches in his word selection and crashes badly.
4) From bad to worse we go: "How can I, in good faith, tell my son he can be proud of his heritage and all he needs to do is work hard to make his way, when I know it’s easier now for his employer to discriminate against him at work because of that very heritage?" First of all, by his own admission, Mr. James' son would be at most 1/4 African American, as he himself is biracial (white mother/black father) and his wife is Caucasian. More importantly, if the 5-year old boy already has an employer, then I think Eric James has bigger problems than worrying about Missouri's Governor.
5) And it stays worse: "I returned — from a traumatic, violent war in Iraq — as I left, a black man in America." Does anyone know what that sentence is supposed to mean? Is he criticizing President Obama for continuing the failed warmongering policy of George W. Bush? Is he implying that he personally experienced a traumatic and violent war in Iraq? Is Mr. James crying out for psychological counseling because he suffers from PTSD?
6) In this next passage, Mr. James outs himself as a mental lightweight: "Yet in Iraq and elsewhere, our enemies discriminated against me and my brothers in arms not because of the color of my skin, but because of the colors we carried: red, white and blue." Stupidity at it's apex. One wonders if Mr. James has ever asked himself why the United States military was sent to, and continues occupying the country of Iraq, when they hadn't NOTHING to do with the events of September 11, 2001.
In closing, hopefully everyone understands what Eric James' real problem is here. Governor Greitens is a Republican, is a political enemy of his father's Liberal Democrat policies, and signed legislation which may directly impact Eric James' ability to earn a living by suing others. Despite his best (laughable) attempts, this has NOTHING to do with his 5-year old, MLK Jr., black-white relations, the military, Iraq, or anything OTHER THAN Right vs. Left politics. Eric James = Crash and Burn!
TL/DR.
Delete3:42 comment should have read "Malik James" in several places, my mistake, when looking at the photo I was remembering Sly James deceased gay son. Everything else stands.
