City leaders claimed the East Patrol would spark investment and a community renaissance . . . So far there's just more shooting. The latest example from last night:
1 in custody connected to double-shooting near 28th and Olive
One person is in custody following a double-shooting near 28th and Olive Saturday night. Officers were called to the area around 7:52 p.m. to investigate a shooting, but were unable to locate a victim. A short time later, two victims arrived at area hospitals with gunshot wounds. One woman suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Just because they built a police station doesn't mean they won't keep shooting each other. There's a 7/11 by the old east patrol and it ended up being one of the most robbed 7/11's in the city, why? Because there was no police at the station, they were all out in the field some where. This is no different. This station got built here because of a promise that idiot cleaver made way back in the day to pastor miles I think his name is and rosemary lowe former state rep, anyway, the city has tried to rebuild the prospect corridor multiple times and still to this day continues to waste hundreds of millions of dollars and it hasn't and won't make one bit of difference. These people are animals that only care about their next alcohol and drug induced binge. Just drive by there some time and you'll see the hoards of worthless idiots sitting around partying all day and night. The city even built a little community center for the church there that they can't even cut the damn grass let alone maintain it.
