Just a bit of midday inspiration from our blog community and a reminder that some very good people check this blog regularly . . .
Hurricane help idea: Since Kemper arena is not being used right now why not set up a national pet shelter for animals from Harvey's path? Volunteers run it. Reunite pets with owners as they can but have a national center to adopt out animals if they can not reunite!!!

You decide . . .
Battle Hall would be more ideal. More open floor space. Nearby hotels within walking distance available for Bathroom and shower facilities, not to mention restaurants and more direct access to transportation including the Street Car to/from Amtrak at Union Station and Bus 129 to/from KCI. All of that not directly accessible in the West Bottoms.
ReplyDeleteM-I-Z!!!!
Both Kemper and Bartle could be used to house people temporarily I think it would be a generous offer by the city and as Governor Grietens to help pay for food and such. Make sure none of the money grabbers in city hall try to use the money for their own benefits.
ReplyDeleteI don't want Sly and his pack of wolves in on it to ruin the deal and you know they would.
YES! This is one of the best ideas I've heard in a LONG time, KC can do this, hope it happens!
ReplyDeleteFirst there would need to be an engineering study to determine if all the codes are met. Then there would need to be new hires which would need to meet affirmative action goals. A study would need to be made of transportation requirements. I would guess that by this time next year Kemper might be ready.
ReplyDelete1:27 that's funny right there!!! But true #sad
ReplyDeleteYou all forgot we don't own kemper arena anymore
Actually, KC does not own/control "Kemper" anymore -- and its name is no longer "Kemper".
ReplyDeleteSend them to Phil's house.
ReplyDeleteIs KC still paying for the bonds that added a couple of thousand seats so the Big 12 would play another tournament there?
ReplyDeleteYeah, do it as soon as Joel Osteen and that fucking hairdo of his helps those people first
ReplyDeleteYeah ship us all the animals but no negroes please. Dogs are better behaved.
ReplyDeleteGood answer 1:27 PM true that you gave me a good laugh.
ReplyDeletePhil everyone still refers to it as Kemper quit being a party pooper.
If the city just took in say 5,000 people it would help out the city of Houston. Have other cities with in a thousand miles pony up to help out as well I think would pull the country together as a nation and stop all this tearing down civil war monuments crap that the left wing hate groups are trying to pull.
Come get the keys! It's all yours!
ReplyDeleteThere are an estimated 2,400 homeless people in Kansas City.
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you meet their needs, first.
Amazing you have so much KC insight for a leech from West Virginia
DeleteFuck those dogs!!
ReplyDeleteKemper has been SOLD THE DOME IN ST LOUIS NO RAMS THIS YEAR.
ReplyDeleteGood question, byron. It's time America got his priorities straight on more than one thing human beings are more important than dogs and cats there I said it sorry weirdos
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteBYRON... Why don't you???? Reach in your pocket and give to City Union Mission, or one of the other MANY organizations in Kansas City that help homeless people.
You act like Kansas City does nothing for it's own.
They caught the slimy, loathsome black filth that killed all those white guys on Indian Creek Trail.
ReplyDeleteThe media will bury it.
Wow? He's black? WHAT ARE THE ODDS OF A BLACK PERSON KILLING PEOPLE????
ReplyDeleteByron every city is going to have a percentage that is homeless and don't want to take care of themselves and be drug addicts. Now hush your mouth and spend your money to help those poor Houstonians out.
