Years of discord between Nelson-Atkins and neighbors coming to an end

The Kansas City Council at one time passed an ordinance to prevent the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art from developing property it owned across the street from the museum. For years, neighbors of the institution disliked or disbelieved much of what officials said about the museum's desire to grow.
