City to discuss increase in sidewalk safety for Kansas City elementary school students

City officials in Kansas City are being urged by parents to address a frightening problem facing elementary students who walk to school. The problem can be a dangerous one. The sidewalk used by some students walking to and from school abruptly starts and stops along the route, forcing children to walk along the road, with cars.

White kids have managed to walk to that school for 50 years. Colored kids to stupid to watch traffic? The black squeaky wheel gets the grease.
