Here's a Kansas City July 4th "deal" that deserves a bit critical examination that local news isn't doing in the the headlines of their PR campaign reports . . .
Here's the headline about a deal in partnership with a law firm . . .
Uber vouchers give free, safe 4th of July rides: The vouchers are split up into 500 codes each worth $10, one per user. The site says the codes are good between 5 p.m. and midnight July 4. The codes are only good for the area immediately around the River Market.
That sounds sweet . . .
Now here's another recent perspective on ride-share tech in this cowtown . . .
The Verge: Uber was warned about driver’s violent past before he raped a passenger, new lawsuit alleges
To be fair, the suspect is innocent until proven guilty and a lot of people use Uber safely every day . . . But the PR promo delivered without question by local newsies is a lot nicer than a billion dollar global corporation deserves and Kansas City denizens deserve both sides of the story.
You decide . . .
If I was Uber, I would give a discount to any really hot young slut.
ReplyDeleteSharia law will get him off.

I got butt screwed by a yellow cab driver my first trip to KC. From downtown to the airport was a 50 mile hour long drive and cost me the ranch. By the time I figured out the whole damn town was like that it was too late.
