Man in critical condition following a stabbing in Westport

One person is in critical condition following a stabbing in the Westport area of Kansas City, Missouri. Police were called to the area of Westport Road and Roanoke around 5:30 p.m. When they arrived they found a man suffering from a stab wound. The victim was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- An 18-year-old man has been charged with several crimes in connection to a fatal crash in KCK that killed four of his friends. Nicholas Cook, who already has a juvenile record, was driving a stolen truck when he lost control and crashed.

Overland Park man charged with murder in his stepfather's death

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Johnson County prosecutors have filed charges against a man they say shot and killed his stepfather during a family dispute in Overland Park. Phillip Stanley is charged with one count of first-degree murder and is being held in the Johnson County jail on a $1 million bond.

Kansas City, KS - Six days after a 3-year-old girl was kidnapped in a stolen car, and found safe a couple of hours later, the two people accused of stealing the vehicle are now in jail. Kerri Reich, 29, turned herself over to authorities in Wyandotte County on Tuesday morning, July 18.

    Get rid of the Planning and research Unit.
    That would free up a lot of officers.

  5. Violent Crime Programs Coordinator is simply Mayor Sly's scapegoat when it fails and does nothing. He will then point a finger at who ever and say, "I hired them to deal with this and they didn't do it."
