Because local millennial ladies are far more likely to show interest in the tumultuous lives of the Kardashians, a great many people have forgotten about the groundbreaking legacy of Atchison , Ks. native Amelia Earhart.
A recent historical drama based on old school pix, at least, offers some historical perspective on notable achievements and the inherent dangers of airline travel . . .
CNN: Does this blurry photo show Amelia Earhart survived her plane crash?
And then . . .
KSHB: Locals excited Earhart may have survived crash
The "journalistic" merits of the story rank might right up there with photos of BigFoot but it serves as a nice, harmless and somewhat local connection to aviation legend for denizens of flyover country.
You decide . . .
"This is the back of Amelia Earhart's head from a hundred feet and 80 years away!" said any reasonable person never.
ReplyDeleteIt does look like them.
