TKC MUST SEE!!! KANSAS CITY HIP-HOP 'ROOTS' FROM KEMET THE PHANTOM!!!

Local music video from one of the best and brightest in Kansas City.

Kemet "The Phantom" Coleman debuts a new Summer single that's offers a more thoughtful and rhythmic addition to his already skillful repertoire.

Take a look:

Sadly, we know that this blog attracts more than a fair share of haters but we ask for a fair consideration of this song and clip on its merits because Mr. Coleman is truly and exceptional talent who is one of the hardest working performers in Kansas City and his superior musical skill is impossible to deny. He's not just a rapper but also a singer, composer and promoter of all things local.

Even better, his latest track has a great beat and it's easy to dance to . . .

You decide . . .

  1. Much better than the streetcar song. Like this one because it looks a lot like the Kansas City that most of us know and sometimes love.

    1. Many will attest to a lot of your post but what you forgot to mention is that tha Phantom is also willing to help other musicians in KC and that's one of the reason he has garnered a lot of love from not just rappers but from others in the bigger music scene. Check out his work with the Phantastics, T. The guy has skills.

  2. I don't have to pay money to go to a concert. The doofuses in my neighborhood like to "share" their musical tastes at all hours of the day and night. Boom boom thump, boom boom thump.

    1. Most blacks are afraid to be around other blacks. For good reason, they are violent, know no loyalty, conflict resolution skills, love competing against one another but never support one another, each one believes their blacker than the next which in turn causes them to feel better than the other, theres a lack of mutual human respect, if one person earns something they feel entitled to it by the mere fact of their being black and overall you cannot win for losing being around black people. Its like being in a black whole and while we only have one life to live...I am more inclined to live in light rather than a confusing black haze. Its not hard to figure out.

  7. HOLY SHIT!

Right from the opening seconds, this video SUCKS! There's Kemet "The Fairy" prancing around in his ridiculous costume.

His enunciation is terrible. Damn, what the hell is it he's trying to say? I'm trying to listen, but can't understand most of his mumbling.

Bottomline, Kemet is a flamboyant queer who suffers from a SEVERE case of narcissistic personality disorder. All of his efforts are not about the art, but about living out his juvenile dreams of being someone important. He's all about playing dress-up, taking hours to pick out his favorite hats/sunglasses/jewelry, etc. He's worse than an insecure woman getting ready to go to her first dance. Kemet hasn't grown emotionally since junior high school.

  8. It wasn't as bad as I have seen some Kansas City artists. It's not a billboard 100, either. Nicely done for what it is...artistic expression.

  9. He is without a doubt a little pussy.

I have a buddy who happens to be a pussy as well. Years back he was working a menial-shit job,got tired of this jigg lippin him,so he proceeded to slap the shit out of him.this particular jigg would later be known as Tech 9.

True story..Yeah ol' Tech , a real badass himself. Ha
