SecState Kobach is running for Kansas Governor because he blew his shot to join the Trump Administration and the dead end Sunflower State job still beats shuffling paper for people with real power.
However . . .
The coming out advert for SecState Kobach might be one of the corniest videos we've seen in Kansas this side of all those diet pill popping commercials they make the fattie radio talkers perform.
The commercial is really bad, politicizes 9/11 and makes a formidable GOP opponent with an impressive résumé and national name recognition come off like a hayseed cheese-ball.
Also, the politico should do everyone and himself a favor by hiding his family and his wife far from the litany of nationwide hate he's going to endure.
The Kris Kobach brand is about a merciless war on Democratic Party voters and brown people who don't have their paperwork together . . . That's an EASY fight to win in the backward, mostly barren and vast cultural wasteland we call Kansas.
Meanwhile, this silly commercial features an elite lawyer playing farmer and underestimates even the most loyal GOP voters. Worst of all it shows weakness and a lack of confidence in the Kobach persona from his campaign staff that might pave the way for focused GOP challengers and a small, tiny and infinitesimal glimmer of hope for the hapless Kansas Democrats.
Check it:
You decide . . .
I think you are wrong Tony.
ReplyDeleteIt is very good.
"Cultural Wasteland"= Good place for White People to live.
ReplyDeleteHis wife is hot, we should vote for her instead!
ReplyDeleteKobach is tailor-made for a lifelong career in politics, and running for governor is a logical next step.
ReplyDelete^^^Go back to bed dummy^^^ you're drunk
ReplyDeleteThis dude is Brownstain, part deux, with a boner for voter suppression. Hard Pass.
ReplyDeleteAu contraire on the campaign commercial criticism!
ReplyDeleteRemember who the target audience is for this ad.....Kansas residents. It's campaign GOLD!!
And just so everyone knows, Kris Kobach is the next Governor of Kansas.
People like Kobach are trying to save our country from illegal criminals and job stealers. Teens can't get summer jobs anymore. I support him. And those like him.
ReplyDeletekansas will like the ad and the branding.
ReplyDeletePeople like Koback are responsible for the destruction of state budgets and the erosion of personal freedom in this country. I despise him and those like him.
ReplyDeletehe must have good consultants or advertising help.
ReplyDeletehis wooden image that seems robotic needs smoothing and the ad does that.
he'll really need coaching to pull it off in person, however.
Kansas really needs a governor who knows how to chop wood.
ReplyDeleteLike a fish needs a bicycle.
Never forget-the people in Kansas are such rubes-they actually think this spot is cool. They are sheep to be led to the slaughter. Profess to be a Christian, anti-abortion, pro-business, voter fraud is an epidemic, zealot and the rubes will elect you time and time again. Then in reality cut taxes for your wealthiest friends, decimate the budget, watch business flee the state, and restrict personal freedoms then blame everyone else and flee the destruction.
ReplyDelete^^uber-liberal Democrat California #1 state in net loss of people...followed by similar blue state IL
ReplyDeleteBright red Texas #1 state in pop. gain
The ad sucks but it's good enough. Most Kansas voters don't really give their votes that much though anyway, they just punch the straight republican ballot.
ReplyDeleteBut Tony is right, a smart moderate Republican contender can take on Kobach and steal it from him by tying him to Brownback. This spot is garbage and shows he doesn't really know what he's doing.
There's a reason Trump dumped him as soon as he got elected.
12:28 hey you know the population gain in Texas is all illegal immigrants. You do know that right Trumpkin???
ReplyDeleteOh, I know what would boost a politico's image. Kobach could try a really fun rally like Hilly did last November in Cleveland. JayZ's "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" song had Granny Clintoon smiling bigly while bobbing her head. Little Kansas kids could shout those lyrics--"pimp nigga", "stab the ladies", "muthahfukn", "middle finger to the Lord" AND MORE--right along with JayZ.
ReplyDeleteIt made Clintoon totally cool, huh?
Do UFO you get paid every time you post this nonsense? I noticed you have done so multiple times. Just checking because it really makes no sense, says nothing and is frankly dull and unimaginative.
DeleteAawww, that Sniper Fire Liar Loser is your idol, and the little bitty criticism of her triggers you. Put on that pussyhat, grab some hot sauce from your purse, and scurry off to your safespace to rest. Obviously, you're wayz tarred and short-circuited.
DeleteChill pops, you don't know me from Adam. I could give a fuck about either of those fools. I was just commenting that you are an unimaginative fool who posts the same thing all the time. Clearly you got your panties wet and responded the only way a simple-minded cretin could. Some advance gramps? Not every thing is political. You making it that way makes you a little bitch who doesn't have anything to say. Copy that?
DeleteWell, I noticed at the very end, his treasurer is not a famous Republican one might expect, eg Bob Dole.
ReplyDeleteIt's Bob Dool.
I guess Bob Drool was already committed???
(Sorry, you'll have to watch again if you're a hater who doesn't believe me.)
Personally, I'm just glad that this will keep Kevin Yoder out of that race, and he can stay in Congress, on the powerful House Appropriations Committee. Where we desperately need him.
What is broken in the Kansas Legislature is unlikely to be fixed by Kobach. But what is broken in the US Congress--where CHANGE IS WHAT THE VOTERS VOTED FOR--well--for starters, Yoder votes right FOR HIS DISTRICT. He makes strategic decisions and doesn't fall into ego traps the way Kobach has.
Yoder represents his district well, plays well with the other members, and has earned what he has built: a sizeable warchest. Yoder is backed by the Who's Who of local business community. (Unlike Kobach.)
Now the Dems in Kansas, all three of them, have a broke-dick stable of glue ponies--they don't have anyone respectable to run for either Governor or Congress. Paul Davis? Jay Sidie? Fugeddaboutit.
Sidie 2018!
ReplyDeleteClaire 2018!
Hillary 2020!
^^^ Reads all day. Tony's biggest fan.
ReplyDeleteThere would be no criticism if he would have just assembled an AR-15
ReplyDelete@10:07 tore this critic a new one. Well done!
ReplyDeleteAs for the ad. Political commercials are just to get a name across and keep it people's minds. They're not supposed to be great movies.
The ad isn't spectacular but it'll do.
Yes 10:07, we know you too well. You're rambling incoherent garbage on EVERY blog.
