  2. "Jackson County COMBAT hosts cleanup in Northeast"

This is the stupid shit they spend drug fighting tax dollars on? Really? Fucking crack heads taking over the town and we are stroking Grannie Jones for turning in her expired meds and picking up the trash? I thought COMBAT tax was about criminals and drugs? Tell me this is a joke....

  3. 9:08pm is right on the mark.
COMBAT is just another one of the long long list of "programs" that together spend many millions of tax dollars every year "fighting drugs, violence, and crime".
Mothers in Charge, Aim4Peace, NoVa, assorted "activists" on public payrolls...the list is too long to include in its entirety. And there's no oversight or any accountability whatsoever for results. The waste just goes on year after year.
COMBAT alone collects over $20 million in sales tax EACH YEAR.
What do you do with all that money?
Yard signs, insider contracts, special deals, $15,000 picnics, and now, yard clean-ups.
And in just June of this year, KCMO already has 63 homicides.
To answer 9:08pm's very apt question: Yes, this is a joke.
