Yup...back at work...and back blogging again. I spent about 10 days taking my first European vacation. Spent most of the time in London...and a couple of days in Paris. Once I got used to getting around London...I really liked it. Paris was beautiful. The history and the buildings were amazing to see.

  2. KC needs to support urban farming with better zoning and support for people who grow their own food, provide jobs and work to improve the urban areas. Seems like KC is making life harder than it needs to be for these volunteers.

  3. It should be more than obvious that KC does't care about urban farmers, volunteers, small businesses, neighborhoods, or even the residents who live there and actually make the city go.
The gang at 12th and Oak spend their time and your money playing amateur developer and pursuing the fantasyland that KCMO is cutting-edge and somehow in competition with other larger and much more dynamic cities around the country.
So unless you can put together a big big story that leaves everyone breathless with its claims, assertions, and promises, and accompany that tale with some serious campaign contributions, don't think the welcome mat is out for you at city hall.
And then re-elect the same people and the same kinds of people that treat you that way year after year.
    Amazing!

  5. What was wrong with the VM? Cleaver's office is in the basement, it shows how important he is. Also he pops his head up months before re-election and then lie the ground hog goes away. I wish the eastern side of kansas city would realize this and vote for someone who would work for them.

  6. RED STAR AGENDA

After meeting with MO AG Josh Hawley and discussing topics like human trafficking, abortion, replacing Claire McCaskill in the Senate, etc., Kraske decided to write about changing the name of the J.C. Nichols fountain!

  7. ▪ Stanford’s Comedy Club, Legends Outlets, 1867 Village West Parkway, Kansas City, Kan., had 10 priority violations during a June 1 first operational inspection after licensing. The inspector found 15 to 20 live roaches in the kitchen and 25 to 30 small flies. The person in charge told the inspector he had contacted pest control but was unsure of the last visit to that location. He called pest control and left a message for an immediate visit the following morning.

It had 3 live roaches in the sink during a reopening inspection on June 6.

“We didn’t have to close any business days,” said Craig Glazer, director of operations. “When you have an open patio and all the weather we have had these little insects can come in and out and all you can do is spray.”

  8. Given the huge support among Democrats for political related violence by those who don't get their way how can Cleaver complain? It isn't like his party has been condemning acts of violence perpetrated by liberal leaning nutballs. What did these fucking geniuses think would happen when unbridled criminal behavior in the name of politics goes unchallenged?
