There'd be a whole lot more money coming in if each and every "development project" didn't get tax breaks or outright subsidies from the city.
And there's be more to spend on services of actual value to the residents if so much weren't thrown away on consultants, big-time dreams, and grandiose legacy projects.
Not enough money coming in; too much being wasted going out.
