South Kansas City Stays Home Amid Political And Corporate Press Conference Celebration

An exceptional rant regarding a recent municipal publicity stunt celebrating more Kansas City corporate welfare. Take a look:

What's wrong with this picture?

Lynn Horsley reported on the two blighted motels on 87th Street just north of the Cerner development being torn down. I'm sure the police and the community are glad to see this finally happening; but there was an interesting mix of people there for a press conference.

Comments

  1. That John Sharp never stops giving away the Hickman Mills School District money. John Sharp should be ashamed of making all those poor people homeless. That is all they could afford for rent.

  2. don't trust lyin' lynn horsey. she actively tweeted misinformation about the trump protests last year then mocked the protesters when they didn't show up for the meeting (which she has tweeted out the wrong time).

    FAKE FUCKING NEWS, BITCH!

  3. So now where are all of Cerner out of town VIP guests going to stay?

  6. I wonder if Lynn Horsley even attended that event. Her modus operandi is:

    1. Get email from city hall
    2. Copy-Paste-Print-Go Home

  7. Really what this shows is how many people actually support Scott Taylor in South Kansas City. Most in South KC are fed up with Cerner because they closed Hillcrest Road between 87th and 95th. They have to get on I-435 or go all way up to Blue Ridge Blvd. John Sharp supported this also. Anti neighborhood John Sharp.

  9. Sharp never saw a camera or a tax he didn't like! He was a big supported of the HMSD Bond issue while at the same time supporting ways to give away the resources to pay for it. Now the district is in an even bigger mess - running out of Bond money to pay for all of Carpenter's pet projects - needed to pillage other parts of the district to make payments. Not to mention the district looks like a bombed out war zone. Check the huge pile of dirt at Baptiste, guess they ran into yet another unplanned for basic repair expense when they discovered the sewer lines had collapsed - where will the superintendent's private bathroom drain to now? Sure wish there was someone who could take a hard look at the wasteful spending in HMSD instead of a bunch of photo ops. I wonder if I told Sharp there would be a camera in front of the pile of dirt if he'd show up?
