More Deets On Horrific Kansas City Playground Gunfight Betwixt Two Youngsters

Once again there's a constant lament over the lack of gun safety in Kansas City that always seems to crack down on Constitutional Rights. Additionally, word thrown around social media is that the shooting is even more serious than initial reports revealed. Here's the update from Fox4:

BREAKING: Child shot by another child on a playground near 23rd and Wheeling

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police are investigating a shooting that took place Sunday evening involving children. Police said that a child, under the age of 10, was shot at a playground near 23rd and Wheeling Avenue around 7 p.m. Sgt. Kari Thompson with KCPD said the child's injuries are life-threatening.

  1. Saw this on the news last night. Typical crime scene in the hood: nothing but fat-ass black female silverbacks in sight, not a male in attendance at a park with their kids on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Section 8 ghetto apartments funded by taxpayers and obviously a loose gun not being handled properly by a kid obviously not being raised properly. It's hard to feel sorry for a race of people that make the same mistakes generation after generation.

  2. Fat ass black females with 5+ kids by 5+ different father, none of who are around. Living on welfare like the 5 generations before them, with little supervision.

  3. Who pays for all this? Hard working middle class white people.

  4. I went to school at JA Rogers which is right there. In 1996, one of the 7th grade students was shooting hoops after schools and was shot. The way we corral poor folks into housing projects is sad. We need to rethink the way we provide for folks in need, and/or provide them opportunity for economic advancement.

    2. @6:47, liberals are dreamers, and while I don't criticize their right to dream, you do have to put on the reality goggles from time to time. The type of people seen in this newscast could be given a job with a six-figure salary and it still wouldn't work out. Many of them don't WANT to work. Many others have a bad work ethic and are quickly fired for poor performance/attendance. Others are indignant at the thought of starting out in entry-level positions that could lead to advancement. The US has flushed billions down the toilet for decades on programs to help this segment of the population. It didn't work. Sometimes you have to cut your losses and move on.

  5. Instead of white people providing for them generation after generation, maybe it's time to stop. Maybe they should take some responsibility for themselves

  6. Researchers writing in the journal Pediatrics analyzed data gathered by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and by the National Electronic Injury Surveillance System.

They found that the annual rate of firearm homicides among African-American children (3.5 per 100,000) was nearly 10 times the rate among whites.

  7. Bryan Stalder, how does someone become corralled?
Ignoring the truth will guaranty the need to build new "corrals"

  8. They're poor because the are irresponsible and aspire for nothing more than to have lots of kids and live off the government. Why should their living conditions be better? Should we tax the white middle class even more so people who won't make an effort to improve themselves can get even more free stuff?

  14. Where did this child "find" a gun? The alleged adults in these children lives are the ones that are to be blamed for a Childs life ending in gunfire. Who taught these little brats that it's a good idea to shoot someone just because you're angry? The parents of the child that did the shooting are the ones that should be fined, jailed, or be punished.

When will people learn that handguns are NOT coffee table, kitchen counter or bedside table items? People that leave handguns out where children can get them are the ones that should carry the blame. That and teaching children that guns are NOT toys.

Section 8 housing is in all neighborhoods all over this city. It's not limited to the inner city.

  16. Bryan Stadler, I'm a pretty liberal guy but you're off the deep end. How do you bring "economic development" to people that dropped out in 8th or 9th grade and started having one kid after another? How do you bring economic development to people whose entire goal in life is to never work and get on welfare, just like previous generations of their family? You live in fantasy land man.
