Fear Inhospitable Culture War Vengeance: Mizzou Must Close Bed & Breakfast

A Columbia, MO tradition that offered training to students entering the hospitality industry . . . Backlash after racial drama protest forces a tragic closing. On the bright side, the future of hotel work is mostly directed toward apps and self-service kiosk check-in anyhoo . . .

Gathering Place to close in December as result of MU budget cuts

COLUMBIA - Julie Ganey couldn't always get a room at The Gathering Place Bed & Breakfast, but she loved staying there when she could. Ganey and her husband Richard, both MU alumni, would stay there when they came to Columbia to visit their son Phillip, who graduated from MU in May.

  2. And the hits just keep coming. The university system President should have never backed down from a few minorities on campus. Considering he was fired, he really should have fought them. Pinkel shouldn't have fell for the boycott. If any players boycotted Pinkel should have been fired and any player boycotting gets 24 hours to get their shit out of university owned housing. None of that happened and the repercussions are still felt two years later and will be felt for the next 60 years. Think of the kids who will not be alumni of MU but for a different school and all those donations that won't be going to MU. They played this about as bad as you could.
