Trickle-Down Economics FAIL In Kansas?!?!

Arguments against supply side theory in the Sunflower State would be more persuasive if so many Democratic Party controlled cities LIKE KCMO didn't follow the exact same model only with more debt and fewer cuts. Checkit:

Perspective | Kansas: Exhibit A against trickle-down tax cuts

The novelist Thomas Pynchon said something worth remembering when we find ourselves arguing about whether, as the Trump administration claims, trickle-down tax cuts will pay for themselves: "If they can get you asking the wrong questions, they don't have to worry about answers."

  1. The comparison to what KS did and what Reagan did is not valid. KS cut taxes on business so one might save 6% by moving to KS. Reagan cut the top rate on taxes from 70% to 28% (later changed to back and forth but mostly stayed below 40%). Most businesses in the short term do not move to save 6%. And those that stay don't save enough at 6% to benefit greatly. But when businesses in the entire country saved 30% to 40% it made a huge difference in the economy. But the Washington Post still yearns for the days of Jimmy Carter.

  6. 7:27am You are a fucking idiot. You can't justify giving 192,000 businesses in the State of Kansas a free ride and not pay the price. And yes it is more of the same. Reagan tried it, Bush tried it, and Brownback being a idiot, tried it. Fail, fail, fail. The only trickle down is the piss running down Republican legs.
