We've had more than a few locals ask about her whereabouts and here's what seems like the best answer . . .
"KCTV morning meteorologist Lisa Teachman submitted her resignation on Wednesday. Teachman has told co-workers she is returning to Wichita to be a chief meteorologist. Although not announced yet, the logical destination would be KSNW, where chief meteorologist Dave Freeman retired this month. Teachman spent three years at KCTV, and several more years at KMBC."
Ms. Teachman was a local fave and we've been surprised at all of the questions about her next gig. Look for an official announcement later this week as the KCMO weather scene struggles to meet the demand for morning smiles and hotness.

ReplyDeleteLisa worked Wichita before coming to KC. KWCH is a huge step up in terms of broadcast standards and production quality compared to KCTV. They run a tight ship and their local broadcasts are fast paced and meaty and they damn sure don't pass off paid advertising as feature stories or interviews.

ReplyDeleteDon't know about the salaries, but if you watch what's reported as "news" on these stations, it's mostly carrying water for KCMO city hall or outright advertisements for one company or another.

I do not need to be told to "grab my heavy coat" or "don't forget your umbrella". I want a forecast: it will be 45 degrees this afternoon, for me, that is a light jacket, I have plenty of natural insulation. Or, 40% chance of rain in the Northwest section of the City today, I live in the Southeast (fun right?) so logically I don't need an umbrella.
