TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! STREETCAR EXTENSION BALLOT HACKED!!! KANSAS CITY VOTERS FEAR ONLINE PHISHING SCAM AMID CURRENT ELECTION!!!

Voters in Midtown Kansas City are being confronted with a great many e-mails and inquiries working to garner data for the current streetcar extension vote that's now underway.

Here's a screenshot example of a form currently circulating among Midtown voters that asks for sensitive data to support or reject the streetcar BUT the site FAILS to disclose ownership info or affiliation.

This site where we pulled this from is one among many that doesn't offer any note to voters about how their data will be used or who is collecting that information. The website could be owned by opponents of the streetcar or detractors . . . Or it could be a hacker. The fact that this website is out there preying upon voters THREATENS THE VALIDITY OF THE STREETCAR EXTENSION VOTE!!!

Accordingly . . .

TKC WARNING!!! PHISHING SCAMMERS AND DIGITAL PRIVACY ATTACKERS ARE TARGETING MIDTOWN KANSAS CITY VOTERS AMID STREETCAR EXTENSION VOTE CONFUSION!!!

Because this isn't a public vote, because registered voters are forced to "apply" to cast their ballot . . . Local e-mail boxes have been slammed with suspicious requests that are both unofficial and confusing to residents inside the proposed TDD and throughout Midtown.

As a public service, our blog community warns that we are only able to confirm the court website which directs voters to a paper ballot:

https://www.16thcircuit.org/streetcar

Even the streetcar website offers very little info about voting in the extension election.

In fact, only our TKC blog community has posted info about "how to apply to vote" amid the election that's underway right now.

The rest of the election information data mining has a corrupt, sketchy and unofficial look to it.

And so . . .

These are all questions the streetcar critics are hoping to ask at tomorrow's big transit meet & greet.

  3. How many people will take the time to fill out this ballot and then apply to vote? It is a really big decision. Why can't we just vote on it like we usually do, at polling locations?

  4. Listen, KCMO is going to ram the street car, the convention hotel and the new airport up our asses. Brace yourself. Sly James is a fucking crook, everybody knows that. He will be our next congressman. Yawn, KCMO is Democrat slime, just get used to it. Wait, not my ass, I left that shit hole 10 years ago.

  5. Hope the "meet and greet" explains who issues the bonds.
Is it the TDD or the city, on behalf of the TDD?
In other words, who's on the hook for any shortfalls?

  6. When the trolley starts hitting the Plaza , think of all the more aggressive diversity and inclusion that our inner city youth scholar's will bring ¡!

  7. I am all for the extension now that I don't have to pay for it.
I do feel though once again its a corrupt way to get a measure passed.
Almost a dog and pony show , but this is where we are at now in City Hall politics .

  9. 10:25... it's not the ballat if it's on a website other that the court's official website, which was clearly stated, Einstein.

Why wouldn't con men get in on the action too? When the City's con is that transparent, it only serves to attract others who are similarly ethically challenged.

  12. They are data mining in order to collect information and target yes voters then turn away no voters. That's why they won't reveal the name of the website.

Hate to agree with Tony, but if you really want to vote in the election. You should just go to the court's site and get a paper ballot. Everything else is going to be exposing you to these dirty consultants.

  16. All the photos of the Streetcar supporters and riders are usually 99% white people. The Streetcar is for white people who think that buses are for people of color. The Streetcar is the new Troost Avenue of mass transit in Kansas City.
