KANSAS CITY WEEKLY POWER RANKINGS!!!

It's Spring Again and the fight for dominance of the local discourse is back in full swing.

Accordingly . . .

Tonight we offer a quick listing of the Kansas City denizens who did the very best in wielding their influence and showing strength this week. Checkit:

Mike Burke

Like it or not, perennial power player Mike Burke is now Kansas City's biggest and best developer as he moves toward collecting $35 MILLION IN CASH from City Hall, donated property and the hopes of all downtown dwellers who are gambling on his hotel project that earned another nod this week.

5th District Council Lady Alissia Canady

She shared testimony about being caught in a rolling gun battle . . . And while she didn't really get into specifics about any witness report filed with police . . . The story captivated local audiences also dealing with higher crime.

Missouri Democratic Party Coalition

Under the radar of local media, Kansas City area Missouri State Democratic Senators John Rizzo, Kiki Curls & Jason Holsman were instrumental in SHUTTING DOWN plans to dismantle the "circuit breaker" which threatened to overload seniors across the state with more debt and bills.

Kansas Congressman Kevin Yoder

As of late, Congressman Yoder not only has been stockpiling campaign cash but also learned that he'll be facing the hapless Jay Sidie in a reelection contest that's not as close as Sunflower State Democratic Loyalists might hope to convince the public.

Kansas City Royals Woman Puncher

This Royals fanboy leaned into a devastating punch targeting the face of a woman who seemed to be looking the other way at the time. Reportedly, she spit on him and now the dude COULD be a champion of equal rights . . . But more likely seems like just other jock-sniffing jerk behaving badly at the ballpark.

As always, this list has been compiled according to scientific TKC polling and market research data and it's a weekly comprehensive guide to local powerful people.

  2. With great power comes great responsibility. This is not a lesson that is often taught in Kansas City.

  3. 7:40pm is on to something.
First, in KCMO there really isn't anything that even comes close to "great power".
It's mostly D-list celebrity wannabe politicos and self-appointed "leaders".
And there's no responsibility at all.
Everything is pretty much someone else's job or fault.
    Disneyland on the plains.

  9. Alissia Canady fake news.
Why not testify if you were a witness caught in a rolling gun battle?
Maybe she doesn't want to be a witness because her tags were expired.

  11. Males who beat on children or women should never be called men. They should also be stripped and publicly flogged. Or the court could sentence them to two sucker punches -which they might get at any time from a professional "sucker punch person". Be nice for them to never know when it might happen.
