TKC doesn't care how you vote but less than 10% participation from registered voters is nothing less than a FAILED local Democracy.
Fewer than 20K people deciding the fate of nearly a BILLION DOLLARS in more property taxes and additional measures is something far less than representative government. Thankfully, this can be changed by simply taking a few moments to visit a polling place.

ReplyDeleteA week ago, TKC, you said Kansas City democracy was functional. Which one is it...Of your opinion, of course. I tend to think it is ruined and further ruined under the lack of leadership of Sly James and this Obama-esque, City Council. I don't mean to split hairs but I crave consistency from something in Kansas City. I haven't found it yet.
