  1. We can pay millions to develop one thing after the next but no money for police. That's why KC is so screwed up!

    1. Let them get the money from the State, since they don't want to report to the City. Who knows if the less senior cops would even get the salary increases? They can do whatever they want with the money once the City writes them the check. It will probably go to Forte for his retirement payout. Too bad Hall isn't fighting to save City employees' jobs like she is fighting to give KCPD even more money. They already received an increase of over $8M. How much money can they waste?

  2. It's obviously apparent the "deep state" is after Forte. Because of some of his policies and stances, it's really no different than the current situation with Trump...non stop hit pieces, negative propaganda and trolling, most of it coming from internal sources. The KCPD bullies don't like Forte

  3. Quit funding programs which do nothing aka D.A.R.E.

  4. Sorry. We need two hundred million for the toot toot extension, which is going to solve everyone of our fiscal problems.

    ReplyDelete
  5. And more tax cuts for developers!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Will we be able to fund the ant-suck, anti-censorship coalition on this blog? Chuck...since it's made up strictly of you posing as a coalition of the willing, will you be applying for funds?

  7. The Ghost of Cindy Circo3/20/17, 10:41 AM

Isn't she married to a member of KCPD? Isn't the act of advocating a pay increase for her spouse a conflict of interest?

  8. The money only goes to the junior officers, not those that are tenured. Her husband would not receive a dime of the money she is asking for.

  9. Cindy divorced him a few years ago.

  10. @ 10:58 spot on! Anybody that says different is lying.

    1. @10:58 & 1:05 You need to get in the real world. Once KCPD gets that money, they will do whatever they want with it. Hall and the rest of clowncil can't "direct" KCPD to do anything. The city has no control or access to the funds or even their accounting system to see what's going on.

  11. Only a million and a half?
    Easily found.
Just go down to Main Street and watch that much and more slowly trundling up and down the street with pretty much no people anywhere in sight.
Just don't try it when it rains or snows or you'll be waiting for a long time with nothing much to see.
Throw millions away on silliness and trendy crap and then go looking for more.
    What an operation!

  12. Salary crisis my ass more like kickback money drying up.

  13. One of the difficulties in this is that -- because the KCPD is NOT a City agency but an army of occupation (admittedly friendly)imposed on the citizens of the City by the government of the State of Missouri -- it is difficult for the Council to be sure that any money goes to the salaries of the officers. The Council cannot force the Police Board to spend money in any specific way.

That is also one reason why Ms. Hall does NOT have even an appearance of a conflict of interest.

  14. Dear Heather,
Take a lesson from Scott Wagner. Make it an emergency ordinance and jam it through that way.

    Love,
    Sly
