CLOSE As Election Day approaches in Springfield, both candidates for mayor say public safety is their top priority. Ken McClure said there's work to be done, but Springfield's crime is not on the same level as bigger Midwestern cities like St. Louis and Detroit.

  1. Hey guys, this post is a crime post and you know I have a lot of things to say about that. I hate everyone so I will most likely make a couple of ugly statements then a couple more anonymous ones, so I'm sorry. Love Chuck.

  3. What is the common denominator here? For the life of me, I cannot figure it out. Where can one have access to a larger metropolitan area and not be near high crime rate areas? I feel as though this high-crime with no common theme is becoming more rampant by the year. KC, STL, now Springfield; is Columbia next, St. Joe?

  4. Dangerous or not, Springfield is a world-class shithole.

  5. Someone from KC calling Springfield a world-class shithole? Pot, meet kettle.
