PETTY KANSAS CITY POLITICS BEHIND 'MOTHERS IN CHARGE' SMEAR CAMPAIGN AGAINST COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER!?!?!

Participants in a politically active local anti-crime group are going after a former volunteer and the latest controversy once again signals the start of the silly election season in Kansas City.

Here's the headline . . .

Fox4: Kansas City community activist accused of stealing from anti-crime nonprofit Mothers In Charge

Read the whole thing but here are the highlights . . .

- This "exclusive" news is over a measly 500 bucks.

- The dispute involves Christmas gift card purchases and whether or not they were approved . . . SCINTILLATING!!!

- The story notes that Bryan Dial, Jr. and "Mothers In Charge" Founder Rosilyn Temple were formerly friends and Mr. Dial was part of an employment dispute with the Ad Hoc Group Against Crime - The organization that launch "Mothers In Charge" . . .

Remember that Mr. Dial was formerly a City Council candidate who did pretty well in his first try at office and could be planning another run . . . Via Facebook, Mr. Dial references political backstabbing at the root of this story. The comment he publicly shared with friends, of which TKC is one, a few hours before this latest story went live . . .

"The local politics that have been played with me are disgusting... I don't know that I've ever experienced such betrayal"

We encouraged him to stand up to the petty allegations . . . Reality: Mr. Dial made the wrong move by not talking to the Fox4 reporter and he should have requested a sit-down interview. He's kind of a soft spoken guy and, fact is, nobody likes getting ambushed by a camera crew.

For the record, Mr. Dial has stepped away from the Ad Hoc crowd, seen the light and redirected his efforts toward his church and more education-based community mentoring. The guy has spent countless hours helping children, volunteering and working within his community. Bryan Dial, Jr. is one of the good guys and this hit piece hatched by the Mothers in Charge gang speaks to their level of duplicity when confronting controversy. Remember that Rosilyn Temple has been one of the loudest anti-gun advocates in the urban core and helped put push the 2nd Amendment crackdowns championed by Mayor Sly James.

To be fair, I don't know and don't care about Christmas gift-card controversy.

Here's what's easy to understand . . .

MOTHERS IN CHARGE IS ABOUT POLITICS NOT CRIME-PREVENTION!!! ANY HELP THEY MIGHT PROVIDE VICTIMS OF CRIME IS QUICKLY CASHED IN FOR POLITICAL CAPITAL!!! THIS LATEST HIT PIECE DEMONSTRATES THEY ARE MORE THAN WILLING TO ATTACK ANYONE WHO BREAKS FROM THEIR RANKS!!!

Worst of all . . . According to their web page they are funded by police i.e. taxpayers. So local residents are stuck paying for all of this political theater.

"The Kansas City chapter received generous funding from the Kansas City Missouri Police Department to move into its own office space and expand the scope of its programs and services. In November 2014, "KC Mothers In Charge" (KC MIC) appointed its inaugural Board of Directors and incorporated itself as nonprofit corporation in the State of Missouri. In May 2015, KC MIC received 501(c)(3) federal tax-exemption status."

And so, while Kansas City endures ANOTHER record breaking homicide uptick, it's important to note that this taxpayer funded group seems more concerned about gift cards and thwarting any perceived election time threat.

Developing . . .

  1. Kansas City needs to get our of funding all of these groups.

    They obviously are not working.

Let's take away their funding for the next year until we get this all settled!

  9. 500 bucks is 500 bucks and if someone misused the funds they need to be exposed, tar and feathered if need be and run over to live with the other rats in St. Louis.

  11. It looks like she set him up. Gave him a loan and then took him to court.

You can't have friends in politics Bryan. Sorry. I guess you live and learn. Write the reporter a check and tell her to give it Ad Hoc. That's the only way to one up them.

  12. Fighting over "funding", stabbing one another in the back, and desperately trying to be the most "important" are what these and other similar groups do best.
They certainly have no impact on crime, violence, or homicides, which is supposedly what they get paid to address.
And the numbers year after year bear that out.
But where are the members of the city council, Jackson County legislature, corporations, foundations, and others who fund them?
There's no oversight or accountability at all, mostly because much of this is simply a shakedown with consequences of accusations or lawsuits if the money stops, any attempt is made to see that the money is spent appropriately, or the funders try to actually get something for their money.
Meanwhile the murder rate increases, neighborhoods deteriorate, and more residents move out of the east side.
Make-work jobs and organizations don't benefit anyone other than the folks who deposit their checks.

  13. He and Bolonzo are partners in the white slavery trade.

  14. Give Balonzo the keys to the building and acct info so he can contribute his share of $35 from his gofundme acct so he can immediately start solving inner city crime. He been getting too soft with his so called tipsters and suburban white crime where people DO speak up. He has never called out these inner city thugs like he does the strippers or sugar babies that he puts on blast. He has no balls to call out the inner city thugs that are terrorizing the city...FACTS!

  17. No worries
The KC Crime commission will have crime fixed any day now.
They are just biding their time to spring their secret weapon.

  18. Beware of any non profit, the majority are essentially scams and ponzi schemes. Okay, not quite that bad but their main interest is raising money for their often lavish salaries. Their main stated mission is usually just a side show...it's all about raising money. The other issue, the majority of non profits are run by women. Don't know if you've ever been involved in something run by a woman but it's not anything most men would want anything to do with. Just power hungry women playing politics and building empires.

  19. Roslyn Temple can barely speak English. Her son was a murder victim. Right there, tells me all I need to know about her. Terrible mother. Thugged out kid. Uneducated hanger-on. Why Dial aligned with these ghetto hoods...It was bound to be a problem. You live and learn.

  20. Damn shame that police fund Mother's in Charge. They don't really do much. They Serve no purpose.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Maybe the police should fund a side scan sonar and dive team instead.

    ReplyDelete
  22. No wonder KC is fucked, police budget money being pissed away like this.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Fox4 interview claims MOTHERS IN CHARGE has been around for years...They don't know it's only been a handful of years...And they've had no impact on crime. How showing up to a location to talk to police has not proven to be effective to any problem plaguing minorities or homicides. I guess if Alvin Brooks can use that same model to influence unsuspecting fools to get buy-in, I guess so can this woman. It seems like such a waste of resources to keep finding people's unemployability problem.

    ReplyDelete
  24. This spat should be evidence on why Mothers In Charge should be de-funded. It's clear they aren't in charge of anything, especially budgeting and exercising proper control over the money it receives. Taxpayers need to request documents showing their impact, activity and sustainability plan. Relying on donations from the government should not be it's sold method funding. Where's the evidence showing impact, results...? I already know. There's nothing. That's the perspective Fox4 should have taken. Instead, they opted for enforcing an organization they know nothing about because it was popular. That's how you know news media is a dying industry. What's journalism got to do with it?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Brian is a stand-up guy. Mothers in Charge needs to be audited and not by the city. Their activities need to be monitored and held accountable for what they do. They pick and choose the crimes they "respond to" and it ain't all of 'em, folks. They're led by a convicted felon whose crime centered around fraud. Their hearts may be in the right place, but this group needs better direction if they want their message and focus to be successful and taken seriously.
