GIVE KANSAS CITY BIKERS A BRAKE!!!

Finally, a bit of AWESOME KANSAS CITY ADVOCACY from the far more fun two-wheeled community that doesn't wear banana hammock tight-y shorts . . . Here's an important reminder to share the road. Checkit:

Bikers hit the road to send message of awareness

With warmer weather starting to come in, bikers are heading out on the open road. This spring has already seen several people who have died in crashes and accidents. Some motorcyclists wanted to send a message to other drivers, to be aware and pay attention.

  1. Maybe get the crotchrocket punks from driving 100+ and pulling wheelies on the roads. Nobody tries to run these dumbasses over. Road King!

  2. Brandy, simple question.. How do you fell that wind in your hair with a full face helmet on?

  3. Chad and Brandy. Bikers! Living free. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  4. WHile my level of disdain for the crotch-rocket riding, wheelie-standy types is large, they bring to bear a point that needs to be reinforced. That point is that cagers need to pay attention to driving instead of motoring along, distracted by any number of in-cab activities including phones, make-up etc. Electra Glide!

  5. Sure 6:47. Maybe they need to prepare for in-cab people not seeing them. I ride 100 yards ahead of me and plan on a distracted driver, same as when I am in my truck. I almost pulled out in front of a scooter last week that was not paying attention. Sun at their back and hauling ass, black and silver ride on a asphalt road. I was looking!

  6. 7:49 - Done that as well - its on both sides. Agree 100% That said, for more distractions in the cab than in the seat. I'm like a bobble-head when I ride for that exact reason! Doin my 12-second scans every time I ride. Electra Glide! 6:47

  7. Oh, I'm definitely aware of the crotchrocket heroes and midlife crisis Harley dudes blasting their noise up and down 119th St. all the time. I could do with substantially less awareness boosting. Thanks!

  8. Fucking bikers should be the ones paying attention.

  9. If the Cyclists what us to be aware everywhere they need to accept their responsibility to drive properly too. If they want to speed down the road switching lanes of traffic then it is their responsibility if they get into an accident. A safe driver typically checks their mirrors on one side of the vehicle every 8 - 10 seconds so it takes 24 - 30 seconds to make a full cycle scanning around the vehicle. These riders come out of nowhere and get into your blind spot.

  10. The reason they die is because the way they ride, end of story. I have no respect for these idiots. If I saw one crash, I would call 911 and just give the general location, wouldn't bother to stop and help these underlings.

  11. fat, ugly, douchebag goatee, geezer goobers calling attention to themselves racking off pipes while waiting for a light.

they need to get a life

  12. Well 9:18AM that makes you a worthless piece of shit. I would hope someone would do the same to you if you crashed. I don't understand why sub-humans like you feel the need to post crap like this? Your not adding anything, all your doing is proving to world that you don't belong in society. I have no respect for idiots like you.

  13. pretty much agree with 9:18 -- I'd take a look -- a young kid, who didn't know any better -- I'd help

some flabby geezer douchebag on a Harley -- wouldn't even bother calling --

less assholes, the better for society.

  14. If you're interested, you can hear what 5-6 'sake suckers' sound like when they're winding through their gears, doin' 90-110 mph or so, from Johnson Drive to N. of the Legends on I-435 most any mild evening from sunset to 2-3am. The cops prob. know there runnin', but are scared and frustrated, because they can't outrun 'em. There are honorable bikes out there, so look for them and treat them good.

  15. If the iron horse crowd wants to be seen, they'll ride with their headlights on. If they're too cool for that, don't cry to me.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I'm all for getting rid of the helmet laws for anyone over the age of 18. And they shouldn't have anyone under that age riding the bike with them. Once that melon hits the pavement....boom-a-lacka.

  17. Some people mentioned the notice complaints. This is a good point. I would respect these people a lot more if they weren't always making such a big damn racket.
