  1. Being really ugly seems to correlate well with being a criminal. Not that all ugly people are criminals, but most criminals, based on their mug shots, are butt ugly.

  2. Look at all those charges against them. Any bets they are back on the streets in three.

  3. A damn shame Independence isn't in Clay County. There they would have to borrow a pallet of money from Iran just to make bail and it is damn near guaranteed they wouldn't get a pass like here in libtard land.

  4. Stealing a vehicle, busting through a garage door, trying to run over police and leading a high speed chase aren't crimes in Independence??? No wonder they come here to commit these crimes.

    1. Meth isn't an opiate. Not that amphetamine addiction isn't out of control, too.

  8. 9:54 Just looking at the prosecutors track record I'd say nothing is much of a crime in Jackson County. If the Independence boons are going to KC it is most likely to see their roots that have not managed to invade another burb.

  9. West Virginia's trash is now Missouri's trash:

    Nov. 12, 2015
KINGWOOD — Terra Alta resident Ronar Santiago Torres, 26, entered into a plea agreement Thursday morning in Preston County Magistrate Court to buying, receiving, aid in concealing or transferring stolen goods.

The plea agreement dropped the original charge from a felony count to a misdemeanor, and Torres was sentenced to time served and court costs of $160.25 by Magistrate Lew Ault.

Torres, 26, was originally charged with a felony count of receiving or transferring stolen goods after he sold a stolen laptop computer to a Preston County undercover officer.

According to the criminal complaint filed with the Preston County Magistrate Court on Nov. 3, Tracy Harding contacted the Preston County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday to report a laptop computer had been stolen from his vehicle the previous day.

Harding then received a phone call from a person advising him that they had the laptop and were willing to sell it back to him for $75, and Harding agreed. The undercover officer, posing as Harding, met with the person and purchased the laptop for $75.

The complaint states “during the transaction the person, later identified as Mr. Torres, said that he had bought it from a person named Greg and Greg told him he was selling it for crack.” The complaint also says that Torres stated he didn’t think it was this Greg’s and wanted to get it back to the correct owner.

Torres has a prior record of possession of a controlled substance which was dismissed as part of a plea agreement in December 2014 that included no operator’s license, and he was ordered to pay a fine and court costs.

    1. I sympathize with the officer and his family. Also to the victim. But don't comment about people and places you never heard of until this happened. I'm not excusing the crime. These individuals should be punished. But the fact that one of them lived in preston doesn't make it a bad place. What you should be looking at is the fact that 3 of the suspects are from Missouri and have more criminal background that the one. What does that say about your "great state"?? The way I see it, you've got more trash than preston county does! No one deserve a home invasion like this and every time a police officer goes to work, getting hurt or killed is always a possibility. And the bullet did come from a fellow officers gun. Accidents happen. But it has nothing to do with being from preston county! Those opinions should be kept to themselves.
