Sadly, Kansas City didn't learn its lesson from the crack baby epidemic of the 80s and now heroin and oxy are producing another generation of innocent children starting life with even more disadvantages. Take a look: Kansas City faces epidemic of drug-dependent babies

ReplyDeleteuh huh!
ReplyDeleteLots of meth babies in Independence. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteThis is horrible.
ReplyDeleteHey 9:14 AM,
ReplyDeleteI guess you'd be surprised at the number of white babies going through this (and I know of what I write)...
Ah, the phony crack baby mantra from the 80s. Again the Conservatives bow to the alter of the Law Enforcement Cabal with nary a question on their data or any proof.
ReplyDeleteDrug abuse is a significant problem. While courts of law seldom offer justice rather throwing the book at a perp knowing they don't have the resources to fight take a plea.
Allowing major drug dealers immunity in exchange for cooperation. So much cooperation (without any real effect on the problem) for the merchants of death yet nary a crumb for the sickness which consumes the addict.
And all the while prisons are overcrowded with minnows who got caught with pot. Piss tests which cops and firefighters use Pissinators or their kid's urine to keep locking up others who use. Bless their hearts.
Now drug treatment is quickly becoming another for-profit fraud ala private prisons. These places will take the insurance money and also supply the industrial prison complex a steady flow of inmates.
You know the dealer, the dealer is a man
With the love grass in his hand
Oh but the pusher is a monster
Good God, he's not a natural man
The dealer for a nickel
Lord, will sell you lots of sweet dreams
Ah, but the pusher ruin your body
Lord, he'll leave your, he'll leave your mind to scream
Well, now if I were the president of this land
You know, I'd declare total war on The Pusher man
I'd cut him if he stands, and I'd shoot him if he'd run
Yes I'd kill him with my Bible and my razor and my gun
God damn The Pusher
Gad damn The Pusher
Freddie's dead that's what I said.
ReplyDeleteBeen that way since the 70's.
Solutions not songs. Ain't nobody got time for that.
ReplyDelete^^^^ Agreed!
ReplyDeleteThat's why I get in this blog to find solutions. If only the power brokers would listen!
