  1. Did Sly rush over to the scene to direct the firefighters with his airport bullhorn?

  2. Has anyone checked to see if the City just went with the cheapest bid for whatever remodeling they planned to do there to turn it into the worlds biggest tourist attraction?

  5. Uh Ohhhh. They are going to ask for more money for "renovations". Same scheme over and over. 80 mil wasn't enough. So, they set a fire so they can, in good conscience, ask for more money. We saw it with all the "projects" east of Troost.

  6. It's so interesting that they're trying to call those buildings historic. Not too far from the scene, there were historic houses they tore down under the guise of blight, built as early 1885. Spin doctors in media make me nauseous. There are only a handful of historic buildings left on Vine; Gem Theater is one. Everything else has been torn down or destroyed. There is very little that meets the definition of historic. City always says being old isn't enough to be historic. That's true. We need to be talking about significance. Buzz word media gets it wrong again.

  9. Reading the headlines it is hard to believe just a couple of shitty old buildings at 18th and Vine were all that burned. No Drama Queens in the local yokel KC press, uh huh.
