Mainstream news downplays ANOTHER Kansas City toy train streetcar crash . . .
UPDATE: Auto incident near RM West involved the #kcstreetcar . . .
What's important important for locals to understand is that there are a dedicated cadre of consultants and fanboys who will cast a great deal of hateration upon any driver, cyclist or pedestrian who runs afoul of this low ridership bit of transit. Even worse, the streetcar now owns Main St. according to supporters and so the growing number of people hit by the streetcar are presumed guilty.
Developing . . .
Toot toot. Crash. Thud. Skid. Clunk.
ReplyDeleteI just moved downtown and love it. @KCStreetcar is what sold me.
ReplyDeleteLMAO still scamming
I just moved downtown too. Love these low property taxes and subsidies.
ReplyDeleteWeez moved to Downtown jus to be be near Mayor Sly James!
ReplyDeleteGreat, see you guys at the streetcar expansion groundbreaking. (Along with the single terminal airport groundbreaking)
ReplyDeleteIf you live near the city market get ready to greet your low income housing neighbors at 2nd and Delaware.
ReplyDelete"I just moved downtown and I love it. The streetcar sold me". Yeah doofus, the bus serves the same route as the streetcar and guess what, it's faster! But you're probably too good to take a bus.
ReplyDeleteFree rides to end soon
ReplyDelete1. Douchy Mercedes guy parks on streetcar right-of-way and gets hit.
ReplyDelete2. Teen stoner blows a stale red light and hits streetcar.
3. Hit and run driver side-swipes a sopped streetcar.
Yes I see a trend here, these streetcar drivers are out of control!
You couldn't pay me to live downtown. Airplane, traffic, gun.sirens and all those noises I seldom hear as a resident in a town with no buses or toy trains. No airplanes or rolling gun battles competing with the beat of a boom box. Boring you say? Hell yes it's boring and I like it. I choose moving on out, over moving on up.
ReplyDeleteLol. Sit scared, quivering in your basement. Afraid of another Bowling Green Massacre. Ignorance has a face. It's you.
DeleteI can't wait until the street car puts on its brakes on main St. in a snowy winter.
