SO HAPPY that the USA didnt go high school this election. Seems like most of america thought they were voting for homecoming queen since 2008, voting in the "cool kid". You just cant expect to vote for the "cool cat" with "pretty teeth", who walks with a "swagger", or wears a bow tie and expect shit to get done.
ReplyDeleteTrump Press Conference Today
ReplyDelete"My fellow Americans, one week ago our administration assumed enormous responsibilities that you, the American people, have placed in us. There is much work to do in the days ahead but I wanted to give you an update on what we have accomplished already. In my first few days as your president, I have met with the leaders of some of our nation's top manufacturing companies and labour unions. My message was clear: we want to make things in America and we want to use American workers. Since my election, many companies have announced they are no longer moving jobs out of our country but are instead keeping and creating jobs right here in America. Every day, we are fulfilling the promise we made to the American people. Here are just a few of the executive actions I have taken in the last few days: An order to prepare for repealing and replacing Obamacare, it's about time; the withdrawal from the Trans-Pacific Partnership so that we can negotiate one-on-one deals that protect American workers, that would have been a disastrous deal for our workers; an order to begin construction of the Keystone and Dakota Access pipelines following a renegotiation of terms with the requirement that pipelines installed in America be built with American steel and manufactured here; a directive to expedite permits for new infrastructure and new manufacturing plants; an order to immediately begin the border wall and to crack down on sanctuary cities, they are not safe, we have got to take care of that horrible situation. This administration has hit the ground running at a record pace, everybody's talking about it, we're doing it with speed and we're doing it with intelligence and we will never ever stop fighting on behalf of the American people. God bless you and God bless America."
Uh isn't KCMO a sanctuary city?
ReplyDeleteThis certainly can't end well.
No ones laughing now.
ReplyDeleteProbably not, 3:14pm
ReplyDeleteSly doubled down on his enthusiastic support of Hillary in the hope of landing a job in her administration instead of representing the best interests of KCMO residents and staying neutral in the campaign.
The push-back from being a sanctuary city may end up being the least of it.
Next embarrassment?
The wasted time, effort, energy, and money spent on pandering to the $15/hour minimum wage crowd when either the issue fails at the polls or the Missouri Supremes rule against it.
Sly may be big at home, but once he gets out in the real world, he turns out to be the one-eyed king in the valley of the blind.
KCMO against the Feds AND the state is like coming to a knife fight with a smile and a shoeshine.
STA the coed HS on Pflumm (not the girls' academy on Main) is in Overland Park by a couple of blocks bordering Lenexa and Olathe. Hallauer is going pc=politically correct or plum crazy! Coddling the snowflakes and crybabies with participation trophies and a message of winning is everything was not done when my teen was at Aquinas a decade ago. Bouncing schools around the classifications got tossed because it's beyond assinine.
ReplyDeleteSo, Bishop Ward was a long running baseball champ standout and Harmon has a top tiered boys' and girls' winning soccer program BECAUSE THE FORTUNES OF TALENT and DEDICATED, DEMANDING COACHES make them so. Also, these two small Dotte schools have alot of decent family and community support.
Hines must be a millennial, cause all i'm hearing is whining. If he wants more of a competitive edge he should have better coaches or maybe they should look at the job Hines is doing and get rid of him.
ReplyDeleteThese spoiled brat ADULTS are showing shallowness and selfishness. OMG, the First Place trophy cases aren't full enough at my superstar-wunderkind-future Heisman/ Cy Young/Wooden/yada yada winner's school here in Coddletown, Uppityville, or Snowflakesberg.
ReplyDeleteBoo f'n hoo.
Don't the private high schools along with some parishes and jewish temples with teens at public high schools still sponsor and send students on mission trips to Appalachia and to Latin America? When the teens in my family went they took all manner of sports equipment and logo'd shirts (and plain t-shirts, so the future potential Yordanos could put names and numbers on with Sharpies) to gift to kids lucky enough to have simple ragtag sandlot games.
ReplyDeleteSo, is it some corner office guys and gals, or the glory-days daddies and diva wives whining about their precious kiddies gotta be WINNERS?
