  2. Gas fumes will continue till they get them out and they acquire that land cheaply. That
Ballpark is not that faraway. When gone the gas miraculously disappears and is fixed.

  3. That gas station and those underground tanks have been there and leaking for so long, the clean-up of the site will amount to a Superfund project.
Dunn "filing legislation" in the Missouri House won't do much of anything, even if it passes, which is unlikely at best.
It's really too bad that people have to live in this kind of environment, but when you live in a "city" that has an elected group more interested in playing amateur real estate developer than actually addressing municipal issues, you just have to suck it up and spend your time riding the free trolley and gazing up at the shiny new taxpayer-subsidized luxury condominiums.
Be sure to pay your city taxes and get out and vote for the $800 million bond issue.
    It's important.

  4. As I remember this Gas Station has been in the news abouit the gas fumes in the past, going way back to the 1990's.

I believe KMBC CH 9 and KCTV5 back in the 1990's did stories on this Gas Station back then in the 1990's

Maybe if some of the YOUNG Reporters who've migrated here from other cities the last few years and joined these TV Stations would bother to research, they'd find that out and then investigate why the CITY of KCMO has done nothing for Decades, except come up with Excuses, lies & Rhetoric !

I also recall Emmanuel Clever being interviewed back in the 1990's on this issue and is more than well aware of it, back then almost 20 years ago !!!

This is now 2017, whats the deal ???????

Its NOT fair to those living around that area that pay Taxes, like in property taxes to have such an Inept & Incompetent City constantly tripping all over itself,,, for decades and doing nothing !!!!

  5. So, I guess they'll do like everyone else, sue. Take a poll of the individuals dying from cancer and other brain, liver, lung illness. Elderly, children for brain damage. Any schools near the area or daycare? Lawsuit time. What's killing those people over there over the decades? Do they have some sort of toxicology report? Have they checked the soil or water? Poisoning a people for over twenty years. Use science and experts. Research and sue the hell out of them like everyone else.
