Kansas City MSM news along with family and friends of a missing young woman are busy looking at gas stations while Kansas City's top anti-crime activist continues to focus on the far more relevant aspects of the search and places where it's more likely for somebody to be snatched up.
Last night Alonzo Washington was scoping a strip club parking lot in the search for missing Toni Anderson.

ReplyDeleteFirst, 12th Chestnut isnt really the hood. Being from KCK and clearly unfamiliar with the area, he's selling the wrong image of the area. Second, the first homicide was on 12th Paseo which is the area known as the projects. People living in the projects are living off the government and they are poor, rough housing, weed smoking types. There is a difference even though 12th Street is the common thread. Third, KCPD is just down the street at Truman & Chestnut, with a gas station where cruisers fill up on 13th Prospect. He's got the area all wrong.

Most of 12th Street from Prospect to Woodland is owned by Ollie Gates. Crime happens there but its far more prevalent in other areas and I have no concern about going there at night, except where the Citys housing authority housing projects remain. Its a shame the first homicide happened on City owned property headed by third district representatives that only care about their next photo op.
It's obvious Alonzo doesnt know the real hood spots. 12th Chestnut is relatively clean compared to other parts of town.
