Yet another MASSIVE gathering of angry white women in Kansas City reminds me of that scene in Goodfellas where Robert De Niro's character wasn't so upset about the consequences of a life of crime, the dangers of the drug trade and constant harassment from authorities . . .
Instead, he only really got annoyed when a bunch of women were coming over to his house and complaining, commiserating all damn day.
Accordingly . . .

Why Tony??? You might ask.
Maybe because a bunch of middle-class white women FAILED to get Hillary Clinton elected . . .
But these ladies are fired up about getting more women in the hunt for political office and turning out female voters . . .
Really, just like the slate of Democratic women led by Hillary who WERE COMPLETELY SWEPT BY THE MISSOURI GOP???
But TKC . . . We need to encourage strong women leaders in order to stand up to sexism!
That's cool.
But let's not forget that years upon years of gender identity politics have brought us to this point wherein the vast majority of MISSOURI VOTERS have been alienated by Democratic Party social justice campaigning and would rather talk about jobs, infrastructure and accountability rather than the latest crusade touted by MSNBC. More to the point, while these angry white ladies are looking to take their revenge on Prez Trump . . . The Missouri GOP is going to cripple unions (and thereby Democratic Party campaign coffers) in this state with right-to-work legislation.
Sadly, Democratic Party elite were convinced this "girl power" strategy would work but it ultimately backfired.
And don't bring up hopeful garbage about the popular vote in the Presidential Election because that's not as important as Republicans dominating in State Houses across the nation.
Fact is, given this doubling down on divisive politics rather than confronting real issues . . . We're witnessing the implosion of the world's oldest political party at the hands a corrupt corporate system that absolutely refuses to adopt a centre-left populist message which is the only hope of pushing back against GOP hegemony at nearly every level of government.
And to be fair . . . All of this so-called feminist rage kind of ignores the exceptionally significant number of white women who voted for President Trump.
Still, the rinse and repeat style of politics is a good way to raise campaign funds and earn mainstream and social media echo-chamber love . . . Unfortunately, election history over the past 20 years culminating in the Trump tidal wave reveals that this kind of identity politics & commiserating doesn't help to win elections.

Hillary 2020 will likely take up the oxygen again from better candidates. Claire 2018, same thing. Kander would be a better candidate, but she'll cling to office and lose for sure.
for example, Biden as a no-drama candidate who would have campaigned in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvsnia would have won.
The thing is that the first woman president is probably going to be a republican. She is someone who has accomplished things and not used her husbands name or money to get anywhere. Think Nikki Halley from South Carolina. Governor and now US ambassador to the UN.
