CELEBRATE EVEN MORE KANSAS CITY CYCLING ADVOCACY!!!

Pitch offers a glimpse of the last great struggle of local hipsters . . . To take cars of local streets altogether. Here's a peek at the middle-class pretending to be persecuted: Grand Boulevard is anything but for cyclists - but bike advocates have a new voice

  1. Bike riders want us to share the roads with them. What I'd like to know is when are bike riders going to share the costs of these roads with us. To me a motorcycle and a bike are about one in the same in fact some bikes are battery powered and they flat can get with it going down the street. But lets say you have a motorcycle and you want to ride the street with it. I mean come on it has two wheels just like a bike does but thats where it all ends. The city you live in and the state along with the Feds make you operate with your headlights on all day make you have tags on it and by all means some insurance on it in case you run into someone. Now Mr. Urbanite rides his bike on the same streets, but seldom is he busted for traffic violations and if he runs into your car and damages it guess who will probably have to pay that and deal as well with raised insurance rates on down the line since it appears a lot of insurance company's like to jack your rates after a fender bender rather it's your fault or not.

If all thses urbanites what to have special lanes and what not on public streets then they need to pitch in and help pay for those buy a tag and get insurance the same as all of us others who use the roads.

  4. These bike riders do not pay and will not pay. They are those special persons born into gold spoon families or gold spoon "want to be's" They are responsible for tons of faulty thinking and yet no one ever calls them on their incongruent faulty thinking.
