There may be quite a bit of interesting art in KC, although much of it is amateurish crap, but anyone who actually believes that "our city is at the forefront" of an arts scene have allowed their cheerleading enthusiasm to overtake their overtake common sense and good taste.
ReplyDeleteOr maybe any taste at all.
Flatland is mostly flatline.
As in brain freeze.
Frosty!
Got any good porn to preview? This Mickey Mouse dreamer local artist shit sucks ass.
ReplyDeleteAgree with 6:20 AM. Nothing cutting edge here to see.
ReplyDeleteProbably having "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor" as the seasons cutting edge theater opening as well.
There is no "creative class" in Kansas City. Just a a bunch of dentists wives buying expensive shit that goes with their sofas, plus a lot of lightly employed hipsters with tattoos. Most of the creativity around here happens in dollar stores in the suburbs. Mediocrity and general imcompetence. Thats the class we gots.
