NOT EVEN CLOSE: SECSTATE JASON KANDER GUN TRICK STAYS LOSING MISSOURI SENATE BID AGAINST BLUNT!!!

There's a lot of things to learn from Missouri SecState Jason Kander's defeat at the hands of incumbent Senator Roy Blunt but the most important thing might be the viral videos are neat but don't influence voters.

In the aftermath of his sound defeat, Kander's gun trick was celebrated throughout the nation but amounted to little more than preaching to the choir and quick entertainment for Youtubers who didn't vote anyhoo.

First and foremost, let's not forget that TKC was the first and only media outlet in Missouri to note that Kander's entire candidacy was based on a broken promise lie about his current job and nothing good can come of that kind of unanswered inconsistency.

Secondly, Senator Blunt did a good job connecting Kander with Hillary Clinton which hurt Democratic Party contenders far more than they realized. Again, we noted that Kander didn't help his cause by marching arm in arm with radical leftist Elizabeth Warren while trying to build Conservative credentials.

The fact that Kander was still pushing his millennial rhetoric until the bitter end and even after his defeat is a sign that he still might not get it.

But here's something more important . . .

NOBODY CARES ABOUT MILITARY SERVICE!!!

More accurately . . .

KANDER'S FAIL PROVES THAT A MILITARY RECORD ALONE ISN'T ENOUGH TO WIN OFFICE FOR A DECIDEDLY PROGRESSIVE CANDIDATE IN RED STATE MISSOURI!!!

As we've noted before with soldiers from both Conservative and Liberal backgrounds . . . Voters aren't electing somebody to stand a post. Kander's rhetoric touting his military service seemed like as much of a gimmick as his Youtube gun trick. At the zero hour . . . Red state voters valued shared political principals rather than the effort to help an elected official who put his life on the line to protect those ideals.

Even the most avowedly patriotic souls turning their back on a veteran should be a teaching moment not only for Kander's political future but also for all those hobo veterans freezing in Kansas City streets this winter.

You decide . . .

Comments

  1. Nobody should be elected because of service in the military during this conflict. Why? Because the military has done a poor job and failed to achieve victory as they used to say in 'Nam

  2. Yep, Kander lost because of his ties to Hillary. A little distance from her would have helped him.

  3. Not that I like Blunt but Kander is just another jerk who instead of working to succeed he goes with the shortcut of politics where the only skill required is to be a good liar.

  4. ^^^^Still would have been better than Blunt.

  5. TKC, Thank you for this post.

Yes, Kander started with a lie, and continued with more lies.

Missouri LOVES our veterans, absolutely no doubt. Especially in rural Missouri, where traditional values remain the norm. Military service is common throughout my extended family, but you NEVER brag about it, claim you were a hero, or ever try to put yourself ahead of those who didn't serve.

We got the word out about Kander's lies. His distortion and over-the-top bragging about his service from 10+ years ago. His liberal agenda, being a Clinton national co-chair.

  6. 10:32 is correct. My cousin a WW II vet just died and his obit included that he received the bronze star. He never mentioned it. I never knew a former neighbor was a silver star recipient in WW II until I saw it on his grave marker. Neither of these men went to war so they could use it to run for political office.

  11. Since Jason Kander announced his senate candidacy in February 2015, he has repeatedly lied about and exaggerated his military service. Kander also invoked and exploited America’s worst tragedy, 9-11, as part of his disgraceful effort to misrepresent his military service. In numerous political ads, candidate Kander claimed that “after 9-11” he “joined the Army.” Kander’s claim is as shameless as it is misleading. In 2003, Kander was a law student at Georgetown law school when he entered the ROTC program. He later joined the Missouri national guard (one-weekend-a-month service). Kander's only active duty was 6 months in 2006-2007 . . . 3 months at a Florida military base and 3 months as a NON-COMBATANT staffer in a highly-secure military compound in Afghanistan. Jason Kander was so careful to avoid harm in Afghanistan that he remained in his secure compound as much as possible. This led a few fellow soldiers to tag Kander with the nickname “Captain Coward.” In his disgraceful political ads, Jason Kander also lied by claiming he “saved lives” in Afghanistan. The U.S. military routinely awards medals to soldiers who really do save lives. Kander has no such medals, because the simple truth is, Jason Kander didn’t save anyone’s life. The butt-ugly truth about Jason Kander is a story that remains largely untold. But “The Kander Memo” is a good start. It’s posted online via SCRIBD.

  12. Hey Tony - it's "shared political principles" -- not "shared political principals." Get some rest and learn to spell.

  13. This picture of Jason Kander standing near an Afghanistan river is telling. If Kander was really serving as a soldier in this picture, and in harm's way, then what is he doing without a soldier's helmet on? It is a total violation of military regulation for a soldier not to have a helmet on in any hostile or dangerous area. Hmm. Why, of course . . . the truth is, Jason Kander was merely posing for a picture he planned on using in a future political election. Jason sure did a lot of posing in Afghanistan just to come back home and get "smoked" by Roy Blunt.
