AFTERMATH: DOZENS ARRESTED AS KANSAS CITY POLICE SHUT DOWN FAIR WAGE PROTESTERS BLOCKING TRAFFIC!!!

Initial police estimates report 50 arrested . . . The latest word from Stand Up KC is that 175 have been sent to jail.

Meanwhile, there's word that the so-called "Grand Mac" is going to have 66% more beef of some facsimile thereof . . .

Question for tonight as we think about it for tomorrow . . .

WAS IT WORTH IT??? IF WE'RE TALKING ABOUT WAGES, WORKERS, COST, RISK AND REWARD . . . WAS THE PROTESTING ON KANSAS CITY STREETS EFFECTIVE IN BRINGING ABOUT CHANGE AND RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS!?!

Like it or not, these protesters seems more energized and emboldened after the election as the season of discontent in Kansas City continues.

You decide . . .

Comments

  1. you're right to protest ends where it infringes upon my rights to drive on city streets. they are no longer protestors. no matter how "peacefully" they behave while blocking streets when they violate the law it becomes an ulawful assembly.

just what a short-handed, overworked, police department needs to be jacking with.

  2. Some of these folks can't flip a burger or give decent service. No wonder they can't get out of the way of traffic. People, work on your skills and get a better job, rather than demanding a better wage for lousy service.

  3. Great, you've got a shitty job AND $150 fine for blocking traffic.

God ask SEIU to help you pay for it and see what they tell you.

  7. No O.R. Bonds damn it. Force them to go get a $15.00 and hour job or let them rot in jail. Problem solved.

  8. Get an education, don't make McDonalds a career unless you're getting into management and you won't have anything to bitch about.

oh and by the way, try and get the SEIU to pay your fines......typical, they (SEIU) arrange these protests hoping to help their union employees, they DON'T care about the average worker and you're foolish to think they do.

  11. Funny protesters.
I laughed but then cried when I realized I might not get a burger tomorrow or no one will greet me at Walmart tomorrow. Stupid protesters. Mr Trump is going to get mad and throw Hillary and Huma in jail... please keep protesting! I heard you are suppose to take your tips off and walk and protest in solidarity with "free the nipple". Ha.

  14. What about increasing the purchasing power of the dollar. Perhaps a great depression 2.0 would help?

No human should have to work these kinds of mind-destroying jobs. The food is terrible and promotes the absolute worst aspects of our food industry.

What you really want are more opportunities to start your own businesses not better wages at fast food slave franchises. And the city is your biggest impediment to that. I should say liberal-leaning governments are your greatest impediment.

    Sad.
