Has The Kansas City Star Cursed Jason Kander's Senate Campaign With Their Unwavering Biased Coverage & Support???

Fact of the matter is . . . For most people on Kansas City streets, it doesn't matter if the old guy wins or the young guy continues his meteoric rise up the social ladder . . . Politically, neither one of these guys has done much for this town . . . TKC readers were looking forward to a good slap fight and all we've seen so far is a gun trick and connections to similarly unlikable politicos. The lobbyist slap fight was kinda fun until Kander quickly backed down on that front as soon as the Blunt camp got serious and brought Diana into the mix.

As for the newspaper . . . They seemed doomed to tow the party line in this close race where their support could alienate more people than they convince from a town that would rather see the guy who held office locally for a couple of years pull off an upset. You decide . . . Roy Blunt is `fighting for his political life'

  4. The idiom is toe the line, not tow the line. The phrase derives from track-and-field events in which athletes are required to place a foot on a starting line and wait for the signal to go. Race officials used to shout “Toe the line!” where now they shout “On your marks.

A misused idiom from a big idiot.

  5. According to the Open Secrets website, Jason Kander's number one Top Contributor is an Alton Illinois-headquartered law firm (Simmons Hanly Conroy) which sues on behalf of asbestos mesothelioma victims. In fact, this Illinois law firm has given more than 4 times more money to Jason Kander than his number two Top Contributor.
    http://www.opensecrets.org/races/contrib.php?cycle=2016&id=MOS1&spec=N

Among Industry Groups, guess who loves Jason Kander? If you said Lawyers/Law Firms you win your case!
Lawyers/Law Firms $1,275,870 to Kander; his Top Industry Contributor ...........versus........... $485,380 to Senator Blunt

For a guy who's trying to paint Senator Blunt and family as greedy lobbyists, would you be surprised to learn that Jason Kander has taken more money from "Lawyers and Lobbyists" than Blunt? It's true.
    Kander --- Lawyers & Lobbyists $1,394,815
    Blunt --- Lawyers & Lobbyists $931,624

And as for Kander's assertion that Senator Blunt has been in Washington, D.C. too long? Let's look at which candidate relies on non-Missouri campaign donations more.
53 percent of Senator Blunt's campaign dollars have flowed from out-of-state.
55 percent of Jason Kander's campaign dollars have flowed from out-of-state. Oops! Kander is the worse.

  6. Jason Kander just turned 35 years old in May of this year.

Only 35, and he thinks he has the work and life experience to represent Missouri residents in the United States Senate.

He graduated from a private Kansas high school in 1999, then it was on to Washington, D.C. for college and law school. I don't think he even got out of school until 2005.

By 2008, he got elected to the Missouri House of Representatives when facing no challenger in the general election.

In 2010, he was re-elected to the House, this time actually facing an opponent in the general election.

In 2011, the incumbent Secretary of State announced she would not seek re-election and Kander immediately announced his intention to run for the seat.

In 2012, after raising significantly more campaign funds than challengers, and with less than 50 percent of the vote, he narrowly defeated his Republican challenger (48.9 percent vs. 47.4 percent).

In April 2013, Kander publicly promised that he intended to remain MO Secretary of State and would seek reelection to the office in 2016. The question arose because others within his party speculated that he would seek to run for MO Attorney General since Chris Koster had announced a run for Governor. Those within his own party viewed him as an impatient opportunist.
    See link here: http://themissouritimes.com/2503/jason-kander-says-he-is-running-for-reelection-in-2016/

In February 2015, Kander officially flip-flopped and broke his promise to Missouri voters, announcing that he wanted to return to Washington, D.C.

Isn't Jason Kander too immature to adequately represent Missouri's hardworking families?

  7. Democrat Jason Kander, Missouri's current Secretary of State, wants to be your next U.S. Senator. Say what?

He says he'll represent Missouri values if given the chance to go back to Washington, D.C.

But he was born in Kansas, graduated from a private high school in Kansas, voted in Kansas, got married in Kansas, and hasn't really spent much time in Missouri after completing his education in Washington, D.C.

And isn't he related by marriage to Supreme Court Associate Justice Elena Kagan? Kander's wife is Diana Kagan Kander.

Elena Kagan, appointed by Obama, is a New York City-born liberal Ivy League lesbian. As a college student, Kagan was particularly interested in studying Socialism. Like Obama, she taught at the University of Chicago Law School, then served in Bill Clinton's White House before moving on to the liberal bastion, Harvard University. While leading Harvard, Kagan banned U.S. military recruiters from campus.

Since appointed to the Supreme Court by Obama, Kagan has served as a solid liberal vote for the pro-abortion, pro-same sex marriage, pro-Obamacare, pro-global warming theory, soft on drug crimes, soft on illegal immigration, Liberal Democrat agenda.

KANDER and KAGAN are Washington, D.C./New York City LIBERALS WHO DON'T REPRESENT MISSOURI VALUES!!!

  8. All of the above is correct.
That is why we should send Kander to Washington.

  9. Washington State, that is.

  10. The ad outlining Kander's corrupt and perverted wife will start running soon.

  11. If it had not been for the BLM thugs and Ferguson, Blunt would be trailing Jay Nixon in the polls.

  12. 1:41: Oooooh! Corrupt and perverted. I can't wait!

Since we're going after relatives, will we be hearing more about Matt Blunt as well?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Did someone say something about a blunt? Irie, mon, we be right over!

  14. If The Star endorses him, I am voting for the other guy. They screw up everything they touch. Kind of like Hillary.

  15. Unless a small section of JoCo is voting. The Star won't help Kander.
