Without a doubt Missouri SecState Jason Kander is Kansas City's favorite political son and one of the few elected officials to make it out of this town without some kind of significant scandal.
Mr. Kander has always been ambitious and driven which is reflected in his record of service and accomplishment.
In his current Senate race, he's keeping it closer than many skeptics ever expected and unless Sen. Roy Blunt steps up his campaigning . . . There's a very real possibility that Kander could be one of the youngest Senators in the nation.
But that's not where the story ends . . .
THANKS TO KICK-ASS TKC BLOG COMMUNITY DENIZENS WE'VE GOT A FIRST LOOK AT MO SECSTATE KANDER'S PLANS FOR THE FUTURE!!!
Here's the word . . .
"In a signed document, filed APR 23, 2015, Jason Kander stated his intention to run for Statewide office in a primary election held AUG 6, 2024.
"He's already planned out his race for Missouri Governor.
"So, does Kander really want to be U.S. Senator, or is that just another temporary holding spot for him?"
Check the Missouri Ethics website for this important tidbit . . .
Of course, Kander has to win this contest before he can think about running Statewide again . . . And if he loses, with a lame duck Governor patron proved ineffective by Ferson drama and so many shifting loyalties within the Missouri Democratic Party . . . The momentum that he has earned now will be nearly impossible to duplicate . . . And all of this is probably why Kander seems to be running so hard and doing surprisingly well . . . Because losing could mean the end of his rising star career.
You decide . . .
I support Kander against Blunt. But let's see ho he does first before we start thinking about electing him to the Governor's office.
ReplyDeleteKander will beat Blunt 52-51.
ReplyDeleteSt. Louie will turnout in record numbers for him.
Already been decided, so don't bother doing the math. It doesn't add up.
Kansas City leaders coming up.
ReplyDeleteTry not to be a hater Tk, and then try harder.
The Bootlip Bunch will have destroyed this once great nation by then, why worry?
ReplyDeleteUnless we do something.
After eight years of Hillary this country will be a groid-dominated shambles.
ReplyDeleteYes: unless we do something. One thing's for sure, we must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children.
Yes secure whatever. Just keep your white women available to us.
DeleteWhat are his views on unsolicited bulk email?
ReplyDeleteKander will beat Blunt 52-51? Are you counting dead voters to get over 100%?
ReplyDeleteBlunt wins by 7. Kander doesn't play well outside Jackson and St. Louis County.
ReplyDeleteYes and this guy has done what to lift the bottom 99% out of the mosh pit?
ReplyDeleteI think he donated some money for Ferguson. That will win him the votes of the 3 black people who vote 50,000 times in STL.
ReplyDeleteThe Missouri Lunchmeat Council presents a moment of TRUE CANDOR
ReplyDeleteMy baloney has a first name, it's J-A-S-O-N
My baloney has a second name, it's K-A-N-D-E-R
Oh, he loves to spew it everyday,
and if you ask him why, he'll say
'cause Jason Kander has a way with B-A-L-O-N-E-Y!!!
Can we vote for Kander but vote against his diehard loyalty to Obama and Hillary Clinton? That would be nice. I guess he's an okay guy but a look at his policies and his work in Missouri really has been lacking.

ReplyDeleteThis is just sloppy reporting.
In order to keep his Missouri committee active (and keep the money) he has to be on file as a candidate for office. He can't transfer his Missouri state committee funds to his Senate campaign. This is just the mechanics of the way the system works in Missouri.
SURE. There's no way Kander is a politician for life.
ReplyDeleteShut up Abe.
According to the Open Secrets website, Jason Kander's number one Top Contributor is an Alton Illinois-headquartered law firm (Simmons Hanly Conroy) which sues on behalf of asbestos mesothelioma victims. In fact, this Illinois law firm has given more than 4 times more money to Jason Kander than his number two Top Contributor.

Kansas City's own Burns and McDonnell is listed as a Top Contributor to incumbent Senator Blunt, but apparently doesn't feel the same way about challenger Jason Kander.
The Bryan Cave law firm has given Senator Blunt almost 3 times as much as Kander, as has the Husch Blackwell law firm.
Among Industry Groups, guess who loves Jason Kander? If you said Lawyers/Law Firms you win your case!
Lawyers/Law Firms $1,275,870 to Kander; his Top Industry Contributor ...........versus........... $485,380 to Senator Blunt
For a guy who's trying to paint Senator Blunt and family as greedy lobbyists, would you be surprised to learn that Jason Kander has taken more money from "Lawyers and Lobbyists" than Blunt? It's true.
Kander --- Lawyers & Lobbyists $1,394,815
Blunt --- Lawyers & Lobbyists $931,624
And as for Kander's assertion that Senator Blunt has been in Washington, D.C. too long? Let's look at which candidate relies on non-Missouri campaign donations more.
53 percent of Senator Blunt's campaign dollars have flowed from out-of-state.
55 percent of Jason Kander's campaign dollars have flowed from out-of-state. Oops! Kander is the worse.
Which Metro Areas donated the most to each candidate? (Top 5)
Senator Blunt = SAINT LOUIS / WASHINGTON, DC / SPRINGFIELD / KANSAS CITY / NEW YORK = 3 in Missouri
Jason Kander = SAINT LOUIS / KANSAS CITY / NEW YORK / LOS ANGELES / WASHINGTON, DC = 2 in Missouri
This reminds me of the race in Kansas against Brownback. But I will tell you that people like Blunt more than Kander in middle Missouri. It won't be as close as some of you have projected.
ReplyDeleteThe lead for Blunt is solid.
