Show-Me Missouri SecState Jason Kander Showing Off Gun Skillz Amid Senate Run

The latest video from the Kander for Senate campaign offers a display of the candidates military gun skill along with a bit of double talk on where he would stand on the topic gun rights in the Senate.

Despite the accolades for the clip, tven the Star is unimpressed and makes a notable comparison . . .

Jason Kander joins Missouri politicians who are clinging to their guns

Money line . . .

"These ads just reveal that Kander, Greitens and too many others too often look like pandering politicians who think their ability to handle weaponry somehow makes them best-qualified to make decisions about tax policies, medical issues and hundreds of other topics that often are more important to the daily lives of people than the Second Amendment and gun rights.

"The list of these panderers is long, but certainly includes the Republicans in the Missouri General Assembly."

While the commentary targets what is a turning point for the 2nd Amendment fight in Missouri . . . The silly season juxtaposition is important and reveals the hardcore "progressives" in Missouri don't seem very excited about their choices for the upcoming November vote.

  1. Let's just scrap the expensive election process and let the two hunt each other down. Survivor gets to be governor. Or maybe we'd be better off if the dead one got the job.

  3. SIGN O' THE TIMES

This year's election emphasis upon guns, specifically candidates demonstrating their weapons handling skills on campaign commercials, is indicative of our federal government's march to war.

While Team Oblama/Clinton/Kaine are eagerly destabilizing the Middle East and provoking Russia and China in an attempt to distract the world from an economic recovery that never happened despite the propaganda to the contrary, the march to war is palpable.

In the MO Governor's primary, candidates promoted themselves with shotgun photo-ops, proclaiming their love of hunting. The eventual (R)nominee has relied almost exclusively upon his military service and penchant for guns and explosives. (D) Koster has tried to link himself to gun-toting law enforcement.

Liberal anti-gun Kander, who's getting killed in rural MO polling, has heavily promoted himself with rifle-bearing photos from his time in the service over 10 years ago, while saying almost nothing about his time in the MO House and as Secretary of State. Why doesn't Kander drop his campaigning and enlist full-time in the military?

The United States is heading to war because they're running out of options to keep the phony recovery illusion afloat. Blame a foreigner, wave the flag, and send America's working-class to wage war for the elite.

  4. The Star disapproves.
That is worth another 15,000 votes for Kander.
    Keep 'em coming Jason.

  5. The guy is not all that on handling a weapon. Most vets could field strip a weapon blindfolded in their day. To me it seems like more immaturity than anything with the show and tell bullshit. The bottom line is what is the guy going to do for Missouri and for some reason that seems to be a hell of a hard question for these herkimers to answer.

  6. He should research Michael Dukakis riding in a tank. He looks almost as stupid and I think he will have almost the same electoral outcome.

  7. The real issue is that he is a mere 35 years old yet thinks he deserves to be our Senator.

    1. As opposed to being nearly 80 years old with no real accomplishment Roy Blunt? Give me a break, 6:01pm.

  10. Blunt is old and non-responsive. It's past time for a change. Kander is much hotter.

  11. I really have to wonder when I read articles like this with headlines like this

Why would the Contributor NOT be interested in Citizens having more legal right to defend themselves against Thug Criminals of any type !!

are they just bothered by the FACT that now the playing field has been leveled and the criminals will not be able to get away with their violent crimes as much as they did before !!

Why would the poster advocate citizens becoming Victims all the time ???

    unless ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  12. Kander is appearing more like a Midwest version of John F'ing Kerrey. Better hope there's no Swiftboaters to dispel his storyline.

  13. If he builds a Schlitterbaun water slide that decapitates people, I'd vote for him.
