TKC TOLD YOU SO!!! CREDIT TO KCTV5: FIRST KANSAS CITY MEDIA OUTLET TO CONFIRM TRAGIC VERRÜCKT WATER SLIDE DECAPITATION NEWS AMID JOURNALISTIC INSPIRATION FROM OUR BLOG COMMUNITY!!!
At the outset of this week . . . Our AWESOME TKC blog community championed the reporting of water slide decapitation deets as a matter of public safety and Kansas City journalism.
Just moments ago this social media news chatter become news fact in this cowtown following British newspapers and People magazine . . .
KCTV5 . . . Source: Boy who died at Schlitterbahn was decapitated
Deets . . .
A 10-year-old boy was decapitated as he rode a 168-foot tall waterslide at a water park in Kansas, a person familiar with the investigation said Wednesday.
The person, who is not authorized to speak about the boy's death, told The Associated Press that Caleb Schwab was decapitated Sunday on the "Verruckt" raft ride at the Schlitterbahn WaterPark in Kansas City, KS.
Caleb, the son of a Kansas lawmaker, was in a raft with two women who were not related to him when he was killed on the ride, which is certified by Guinness World Records as the tallest in the world. The women were treated for facial injuries.
A spokeswoman for the waterpark on Wednesday declined to discuss the circumstances of Caleb's death.

To wit . . .
LIKE IT OR NOT THESE TRAGIC AND WIDELY REPORTED DECAPITATION DEETS COULD HELP SAVE LIVES IN THE FUTURE AND MAKE A BETTER CASE FOR THE FAMILY OF THE SLAUGHTERED YOUNGSTER!!!
Better late than never as KCTV5 circulates the AP report that tells us what our blog community already reported. Natch.
You decide . . .
Sadly, none of this changes the fact that a youngster died in this tragedy. Prayer for the families and their hardships should now be the focus.
ReplyDelete600, can you pray someone back to life? If prayer worked, why is the boy dead? Maybe just a little more prayer will help. Seems really effective so far.
DeleteSome news watchers instead might want to applaud other organizations for their restraint.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to know we were right about his head being chopped off.
ReplyDeleteI was worried we might be wrong. Whew!!! I'll sleep better now.
I'll have to wait until Mary Snatchcheese writes a new column to know exactly how to process this information.
ReplyDelete^^^^^^^ Agreed,I was glad to get the real story,myself,because..let's face it,"a broken neck" Pffft ! I feel much better about the little guy now.
ReplyDeleteShame that this happened, even worse that most of KC news tried to keep it a secret.
ReplyDeleteChannel 5 has gotten much better since they ran DeAnn Smith out of the parking lot.
ReplyDelete6:17 that's the first rule of journalism... to make the reader feel better about things.
ReplyDelete6:00 PM
ReplyDeleteYou mean Lies? What about reporting the facts?
Hopefully the decapation fascination goes away now.
ReplyDeleteToo bad you missed the whole "incompetent black employees" angle we practically gave you on a silver platter.
ReplyDeleteMay you be decapitated one day, Tony, and may Channel 5 be there to kick the head and brag they got film of the still-rolling head.
For this I pray, amen.
George W. Bush was "mistaken" when he ordered troops into Iraq and the little boy died of a "neck injury."
ReplyDeleteFor the quantum leaps in logic alone Tony is nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in fiction.
ReplyDeleteThe schoolmarm at 6:48 just can't imagine why folks might have a decapitation fascination.
ReplyDeleteShe says that the Good Lord took this boy because it was his time and that should suffice.
Meddling in the further details just ain't going to do nobody no good nohow, she added.
For some reason the thought of a decapitated Tony Botello warms my heart.
ReplyDeleteWe should have never shown the Nazi atrocities in World War II. I mean all those dead bodies bulldozed into mass graves, should not have been viewed ever, If that was the case, the "good parts" of fascism might have come through in just a few years after the war. We should never focus on the negative.
ReplyDeleteGood for 5, about time there is some real journalists in KC.
ReplyDeleteNEVER seen so many ignorant MOTHERFUCKERS in one place in my life.
ReplyDeleteDamn dude if they bother you that much why the fuck do you keep running with 'em? Won't the big boys let you hang with them? Being insignificant is a bitch. Just ask Tony.
ReplyDeleteBut yet here you are along side of us.^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
ReplyDeleteTV5 ran the presser from AP on web, did NOT report it on the air. Irresponsible journalism--interviewed clueless moms with their kids at the park today, who, being totally uninformed, acted like it was not big deal, and besides their kids wanted a last week vaca before school starts.
ReplyDeleteWould customers have come today if the park were renamed Michael Vick Pit Bull Park, (short kids in front.)?? As irresponsible as this park staff are, who can safely assume this was a fluke.
This is just a repeat of the Hyatt hotel collapse 35 years ago. Starting with an engineering failure, re load distribution. Plus a failure to limit the number of people on the skywalks. Once the engineering studies were done, it became clear, the collapse was inevitable.
But the Hyatt was not a big advertiser. This week's press--STAR, TV and radio--everyone except for Tony-- is enabling their big advertiser, Schlitterbahn. Had this happened at a haunted house, or in the ghetto like Precious Doe, the facts would have immediately been reported.
So much bad reporting tonight, dancing around the "What" happened. Can't recall which station interviewed two legislators who were THERE but not questioned about that, even tho they secretly reported it Sunday afternoon. The reporters then gave them interviews to make them look loving and caring. But got both names wrong!!!! "Mark" (rather than Marvin) Kleeb. And Julia (Lynn) called "Lynch". Pathetic. Kids running the slaughterhouse park. And kids reporting.
Interesting post, Tracy! But it raises an interesting question.
DeleteDo you actually put Tony's penis in your mouth or just use your lips and tongue?
7:49 is right on.
ReplyDeleteAnd they keep telling me Kansas City isn't a Shithole Cowtown!
ReplyDelete8:11 Glazer or Hearne could answer that question better. I've heard that when TT drops her pants he has a bad case of Vageyebrows.
ReplyDeleteWait! Did the head just fly off the flume or did it roll like a bowling ball? Were his balls bruised? Let make sure we make a big ass deal out of all these details that don't mean shit about anything other than proving who got the morbid scoop.
ReplyDelete^^^^ The scoop matters or else you wouldn't be reading this blog.
ReplyDeleteIt's like complaining about small portions of a dish you don't like. The fact that you're here in the middle of the night proves you do have a taste for this kind of news or else you'd be watching reruns of the Golden Girls.
Water slides are roller coasters without tracks, rubber, water, speed and nets to hold all together, I have and always will pass. Plus the water is full of piss.
ReplyDeleteAnyone else think the overhead nets would be like a king sized cheese slicer at 70 mph? The nets might keep the flying raft and bodies inside the slide, but as a safety measure? FAIL.
ReplyDeleteFuck this. How could they not foresee this? Fucking backwards goddamn Kansas. Close the Schlitterbahn Slaughterhouse immediately! I highly doubt a 10-year-old was being a daredevil by himself. He was improperly restrained, or the possibility that Sunday help didn't give a fuck ensuring his safety. And they have the audacity to re-open days after a horrific death. Journalism is supposed to be truth, not PR-lite. Tony, this is your calling to put your social media presence to the test. Petition this death park to close down.
ReplyDeleteThe beaches of Amity are safe!!!
ReplyDeleteTHESE TRAGIC AND WIDELY REPORTED DECAPITATION DEETS COULD HELP SAVE LIVES IN THE FUTURE
ReplyDeleteI would surely like to hear how this could help save lives in the future, especially if you can do it without sounding like a fucking lunatic.
I submit that it is impossible.
^^^^^^^^^need more details- where did the head land? This is important right?
ReplyDeleteLOL, WTF, 10:37, lets close any highway thats ever killed someone. Silver Dollar City has had a person killed on a ride there so shit lets close it as well. But then Worlds of Fun has had a death as well, so GD lets shut that bitch down. Seaworld has had two deaths holly molly it has to close right now. Another park in CA has had 4 deaths but it is still open. You people screaming for it to close are natural born assholes who just hate everything. Shit happens and that's life. Long as people head out everyday to amusement parks they will stay open because,
ReplyDeleteTHE PUBLIC WANTS THEN THERE FOR THEIR ENJOYMENT!
Ride at your own risk suckers!! What's a little head between friends? On this ride you. Will. Get. Wet.
DeleteIt's more than likely negligence, you fallacious bastard. SDC was honest human error. WOF was due to her actions by lifting the bar and removing her seat belt. I'm pretty sure there was a minimum weight requirement to ride, but they didn't care. And velcro? WTF? Are you seriously. How effective is fucking velcro when it gets wet? I'm not a lefty by any means but fucking backwards Kansas doesn't require oversight/regulation on amusement park rides. It's 2016, all possible results should have been created to minimize any risk to an absolute certainty. Even the Monsoon at OOF is on rails. There are too many risk factors with this design. It was all novelty to cash in, and now they have blood on their hands. You're fucking damn right to close that POS park down. Totally different case.
Delete10:11 Please don't be so fucking stupid as to pretend you have any idea why I read any part of this blog. You flatter yourself, but you don't know what the fuck you are talking about. Shut your fucking pie hole and you might actually reach a point where you do know something.
ReplyDelete@11:20 - Still trolling the blog and it's almost midnight. That seems pretty lonely to me wildman. Pretty sure you love the news, camaraderie and scoop you get here or else you wouldn't keep coming back. It's like you're addicted to this blog. Never fear, we'll be hear waiting for you because we really do care that you hare a blog you can't seem to stop reading. The whole world cares about you almost as much as that kid who got his head cut off. Believe it, believe in yourself. We can make it through this thing together.
DeleteThis blog is starting to look like "Sharknado IV, Sharks On The Prarie"!
ReplyDeleteThis is really sad news, I hope they don't ever open this ride again.
ReplyDeleteI don give a fuck either way ,about the boys head, broke, decapitated.its done
ReplyDeleteWhat i can't understand is how all of the MANY cowardly ,or just ,weird ,fucked up people who had "ISSUES" riding this POS,before this tragedy...
didn't have the balls to make damn sure the boss of the boss was told about this absolutly, certain, DEATH-SLIDE and how it bout killed THEM!!!
Gutless bunch of fucked up people, who need to be psycho analyzed by dr's,to try and figure out WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THEM??!!?
11:28 Your IQ is going to need to improve significantly before you have the talent to play head games with anyone on this blog. I really don't give a rats ass what the world thinks. I don't have that drama queen codependency so prevalent in your culture. Go back to sucking Tony's dick where you belong little girly boy. You have no control over anything especially this farce of a blog.
ReplyDelete11:33 Take a generation of millennials sleeping on mommy's couch with no father around to stomp their lazy asses and you get a pack of shit heels that wont take appropriate action to do the right thing unless there is something special in it for them.
ReplyDeleteWisdom @ 11:33 pm
ReplyDeleteFirst 11:20, take a chill pill asshole. Nobody forced anyone to ride any of these rides. About 4 people a year die on amusement rides and as you see they just build more and more will die from it. App 20 people a year die from skydiving and nobody is trying to stop that. No state inspectors or federal inspectors anywhere checking those chutes. When you play on dangerous things accidents are bound to happen. In 2012 651 people died in recreational water sports. Hmmmm no out cry to get rid of all those play toys.
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you go buy a bike and ride up and down Wornall Rd all day and lets see how long you live from doing so. Hey you might think it's fun, I thing it's stupid on your part for doing so, just as I think a lot of amusement rides are stupid and you won't find my ass on them rather I am held in with Velcro or a NASCAR rated seat-belt.
to me its no dfferent ,what these fuck heads who didnt tell ,or call corporate ,or the fucking news ,for that matter..hell they would have salivated all over this story!!
ReplyDeletewhat im trying to say is ,it would be no different than witnessing a kid being draaggged into a car, screaming the whole time and folks just walk on by,not to be bothered with that ol bullshit.not to even bother getting a tag # as they peeled away
11:46 thank you for your comment,it was right on target,i think, plus
it helped me realize that im not in the fucking twilight zone.some ,not all ,but some of these comments make me seriously wonder if the shitheels you described so well, aren't among us ,right fucking now,in these comments
im sure they are..i see the self important,me,me,me cocksuckers ,all over town.damn what a shameful bunch of freaks
Kansas City Nice strikes again.
