There are more than 1700 homeless on Kansas City streets right now . . . And not just because the Public Library hasn't opened yet today.

Project Homeless Connect is an annual, one-day free event for homeless individuals and families in Kansas City.
The third annual Project Homeless Connect (PHCKC) will take place on September 13, 2016 at Gregg/Klice Community Center. Participants will be given access to difficult-to-obtain services including medical services, vision care, identification procurement, food and nutrition benefits, employment assistance, housing assistance and more.
Since 2014, Project Homeless Connect Kansas City has helped over 250 homeless participants annually with the help of hundreds of community volunteers, service providers and agencies and gracious donors.
