TKC EXCLUSIVE MUST READ!!! TRANSIT ACTIVIST CHASTAIN: LIGHT RAIL DESIGNED TO MAKE KANSAS CITY GREAT AGAIN!!!
We're working on a LOT of stuff behind the scenes but for right now we think Kansas City's top transit activist deserves HIS SAY on his petition victory today . . .
Clay Chastain: Light rail initiative approved to go on the November ballot
Today, the Council's Finance Committee unanimously agreed to place the people's valid light rail initiative on the upcoming November presidential ballot.
As one who has often criticized Kansas City's government in the past, today I praise our newly elected city council for its action in behalf of honest, open and representative government.
The petition proposes an innovative citywide light rail system (rapid, zero-emission trains operating in their own right-of-way separated from traffic) connecting the northland (KCI) to the southland (Cerner at Bannister), the westside (Union Station) to the eastside (Jackson County Sports Complex), and all of it designed to make Kansas City great again.
So if you are for Kansas City, you will want to cast your vote (November 8, 2016) for a long overdue public transportation plan that promises the people a long overdue... more green, prosperous and transit-oriented city.

This is no where near huge enough.
ReplyDeleteWhat's happened to Clay's imagination?
We should hold out for a complete subway system, gondolas, zip lines from Liberty Memorial, high-speed trains to St Louis, a transparent dome over the entire city, and much much more.
It's only someone else's money and we sure don't want to be "left behind".
The KCMO city government circus really needs to add quite a few more rings to the big top.
World class!
Is there hockey?
ReplyDeleteIf yes, I'm in.
Kc needs a hockey team.
^^^^^^^^^ THAT^^^^^^^^^^^^
ReplyDeleteNo thanks
ReplyDeletefix the sewers, water and crime issue FIRST.
(and get rid of the developer lawyers)
All righty then.
ReplyDeleteKC will be YOOGE!!!
Why aren’t they have a mail in vote that requires your ballot to be notarized?
ReplyDeleteClay is seriously mental, not sure why this dude gives a rats ass esp since he doesn't even live here. However, a light rail system from MCI to the river market could probably happen & be similar to what St Louis has. The streetcar will most likely be extended to 51st & Brookside
ReplyDeleteYou know it will go to Waldo.
ReplyDeleteClay is crazier than a shit house rat he really needs to go back to Chickenfuckerville, VA and work on his Phd in The Relevance of Dogshit in Our Ecosystem as Told By Elmo from Sesame Street
ReplyDeleteThey thought the white man had a gun, so naturally they shot they black man, who was laying on his back with his hands in the air.
ReplyDelete2:25, this is what Black Lives Matter is about.
Will you be outraged the next time some policemen are ambushed by a black veteran?
If a black man kills you, should we mourn your death?

ReplyDeleteRead the article, bitch, & tell us how Black men are supposed to behave when they're confronted by cowardly white policemen.
Clay's idea I'd a lot better than the streetcar extension. I signed the petition and I am voting YES!
ReplyDeletePlease vote for Clay's plan. It will really mess with Johnson and Staubio's streetcar expansion plan.
ReplyDeleteCleveland won the bid for the RNC because of their superior mass transit. Rapid rail transit from their airport and gold standard BRT, not streetcars. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/dr-gridlock/wp/2016/07/19/why-transit-was-key-in-bringing-the-rnc-to-cleveland/
ReplyDeleteClevelands airport isn't and outdated piece of shit 25 miles away from the nearest inkling of civilization in the middle of cornfields though.
ReplyDeletePlus they have had light rail for decades, before extending bus service to their airport.
Try again.
