Meanwhile, nobody can deny that Manny has been much busier than Ingrid Burnett who doesn't want to remind people that she quit the school board when times were tough.

CCP endorsement meeting this Wednesday

Dear CCP members:

Just a reminder that this Wednesday is our endorsement meeting starting at 5:30 at the Stockyards Brewing Company located at 1600 Genessee St. KCMO.

Members can pay their dues at the door and proxies are not allowed.

All candidates must have their name nominated by a CCP member and this member can give a brief (1 minute) introduction of the candidate. Any candidates (or their surrogates) at Wednesday's meeting will be given 3 minutes to address the audience before the voting on that respective race occurs.

The Executive Board is providing the following recommendations of Democratic contested races:

Governor: Chris Koster
Lt. Governor: Russ Carnahan
Secretary of State: No Recommendation
Treasurer: Pat Contreras
Attorney General: Jake Zimmerman
Sheriff: Mike Sharp
Senate District 11: Tie between Jess Podhola and JJ Rizzo
State Rep. District 19: Manny Abarca
