Our pal Craig notes a local connection to the greatest comedian in the land along with his weekend plans . . .
Craig Glazer: Louie CK Tips His Hat To Stanfords. Tony Hinchcliffe This Weekend.
Louie CK told the Kansas City Star he was no longer mad at Kansas City. It seems on his last theater tour he played the Midland and didn't draw here as he did nationally. Louie went on late night talk shows and blasted Kansas City as being behind the times. He mentioned he did like Stanfords where he had played several times on his way up. CK now considered by many the number one comedy talent today.
Louie is at Sprint Arena July 7th and they expect a sell out crowd. He told the newspaper it was all in fun back then and now KC is just fine. He again said that he had great shows at 'Stanford and Sons' when he was in the area years back. Louie has a connection with Stanfords as he has twice now done bits on his hit tv series about the club. One time he had actors playing me and Johnny Dare doing morning radio about his theater show coming up. Recently he got a call at home saying "Hey Louie get ready for your new HBO Special. We want you to go to KC and do some stand up." He went guess its back to morning radio and Stanfords. All in good fun and we do appreciate his attention.
This weekend a 'hot' comedy star who is headed to joining the ranks of Louie, Amy and TJ Miller, his name is Tony Hinchcliffe. Tony got big notice when he co starred on Joe Rogan's show. That got Tony his own show, 'Kill Tony' and now a number one Netflix special 'One Hour.' Hinchcliffe also costarred on The Burn with Jeff Ross and wrote the last five Comedy Central Roasts with Justin Bieber and James Franco.
Tony is live at Stanfords this Friday and Saturday. Tickets online at Stanfordscomedyclub.com or 913 400 7500. Stanfords now has weekend outdoor live DJ and dancing with DJ Marty Styles and the 'hot' Shamira,' Bar B Q and fun from 9pm til 130am.
Finally looks like nice weather, no rain. See you there.

The stanfords nod is important because in his criticism of k.c. louie doens't really seem to know very much about this city besides craig's club. comedians don't really have time to visit or interact with any city the tour.
ReplyDeleteHe must be pretty stupid if he thinks Glazer's shit house is worthy of a compliment. This stinks of a paid advertisement.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't help that Stanford's club is in strip-mall land. Nothing on earth is less impressive than KC's sprawlburbs.
ReplyDeleteLouie was at Westport. I saw him. He was a great show. Loved Stanfords in Westport. Have been to Legends and the new one. Both nice. You guys have great food in the new one, reminds me of your old menu.
ReplyDeleteLOUIE is the man. This comic Tony Henchcliffe is on Rogan all the time. He is a smart ass funny bastard. My brother and I will be there Saturday to see him at Stanfords. Hey whats up with Jazoo Tony not much press on it these days.
ReplyDeleteCraig you guys sure have had some of comedies biggest names over the years. I was too young to see all of them in Westport, my Dad went there often. He saw Larry the Cable Guy, Jerry Seinfeld and Cheech and Chong there he told me. Those must have been great times. Louie is my fav today.
ReplyDeleteGlazer will be here shortly with another of his fake posts trying to convince us of how great the dump is. He will be screaming about how it was all sold out shows this weekend with Tony.
ReplyDeleteLook stupid it's like this, it can't be a sold out show when you're on Craigslist hawking free tickets to callers.
For great patio setting and live music go to the strip mall at Rosana Square and go to One Block South instead of wasting your time at the yuk yuk shop.
Hey guy at 8:40 he got at a boys from Louie CK kinda cool. So shut up.
ReplyDelete^^^^It's ATA Boy you brain dead asshole. And no, in the end, it means nothing. Louie was just trying to say the things that would sell out his show and put more money in his pocket is all the words he said meant. So 11:12, you like Glazer, are both to stupid to see what the agenda was behind Louie's words.
ReplyDelete^^^^^^^^Priceless and for the win.
ReplyDeleteGlazer saw your man Ali died. Sorry.
