  2. Shock!!! Tony posts another one on the streetcar. Folks, Kacie McD is trying to lure Hosmer away from KC, as reported on Nik Richie's site. Fuck this.

  3. But the rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain.

  4. Rain in KC is a rare event, certainly not something the could be foreseen by the streetcar designers.

    1. Rare, as in prone to flooding?

  5. What, did the toy train hit one of Kansas City's huge ass water puddles due to lousy street drainage which then made the train try to hydroplane the rest of the way down the street?

  6. There is no such thing, in the choo-choo business, as a train going "slightly off its rails." That's like "slightly pregnant." Or "slightly dead." Trains are very binary: They are on the tracks or off the tracks. When they go off the tracks, it is big, big problem and an epic failure ... even if nobody gets hurt.

  7. We let Spain build our toy train? Spain, where what used to be the national car-manufacturing company, SEAT, is now run by Germans? WTF?

  8. Streetcar is a scam, plain and simple.

Why can't our city do better?

  9. Wait until we have the first ice storm. A little water derailed it.

  10. The good news is that since nobody is using the thing to go anywhere important the delays don't really matter.

  11. It's a big downtown circle jerk

  12. pFFFFFT! This is a non issue as long as YOU have money.

  13. What happens in the snow and ice? I wonder if it will be like the barricades in front of the Sprint center, which they were told would fail if salt was used on the streets. We do that and they now do not work...hmmmmm

  14. Toronto frequently shuts down streetcar when the wires get icy. So expect a lot of suspended service in January and February.

  15. That's weird, it's been raining all week and the "toy" train is still carrying double the projected ridership...

Maybe Tiny's Amateur Transit Planners don't know what the fuck they are talking about?

How many people took your magical mystery bus that goes everywhere you can dram from wherever you are for FREE! today, Bry-bry?

    1. Does that count the ones that rode the bus when the lemon broke down? Says a lot that you're celebrating the magnificent accomplishment of this thing performing in the rain. For um two days? :)
