Kansas Supreme Court Threatens To Close Schools And Strikes Down 'Unconstitutional' Politico Funding Scheme
The Sunflower State is moving toward a crisis point in a controversy about equal funding for broke-ass school districts: Court rules Kansas' plan to fund schools unconstitutional
When did supreme courts decide that they are also a legislature?
ReplyDeleteJust tell them thanks for your opinion and go pound sand. And oh by they way, we are cutting your budget to zero
No wonder the State legislature wants to put the Supreme Courts balls in a vice. Either do what we want or we are going to destroy your children's education by shuttering schools. These fucking fruit loops make Brownback look like a saviour.
ReplyDeleteKansas will destroy schools with the help of Brownback. Just wait and see.
ReplyDeleteLets hope they take out welfare first
ReplyDeleteThank God for these judges, well except for Caleb Stegall. They are the only thing saving K-12 education right now. Tuition at KU, K-State, and Wichita have increased 40% since 2006, going up another 5% this year thanks to Sam. I will be doing my part August 2nd and November to vote this worthless legislature out. Hopefully thousands join me.
ReplyDeleteIf you can't afford private schools for your kids, you need to move out of Kansas. That's the takeaway from all this.
ReplyDeleteThis state is completely fucked by extremist Republication ideology. Kansans can no longer guarantee their kids get decent educations simply by moving to expensive communities.
Very soon, Alabama and Mississippi will look like shining cities on a hill, thanks to Kansas.
Kansas is rapidly becoming a degenerate rural shit hole whose remaining population is mostly poor people, bible-thumping loonies and gun nuts.
Hey guys, separation of powers. You get to decide the legality of legislation, not MAKE legislation or shut down schools.
