TKC TOLD YOU SO!!! KANSAS CITY AIRPORT PRESENTATION TOMORROW OFFERS UP THE SAME OLD PLAN TO COUNCIL!!!
We talked about this one earlier on the bomb threat story . . . Here's an article planted by the Mayor's office that ASSUMES A LOT and TYPICALLY ATTEMPTS TO BULLY the council. Take a look as other city hall insiders argue: "This process has been one of the most screwed up I've ever seen." We have more airport stuff coming up soon but this is what the world looks like according to the 29th floor @ 12th & Oak as Rep. Sam Graves argues that Kansas City doesn't need a "golden" airport: Sources: Committee to push plan for new, one-terminal design at KCI; City council to vote 'yes'
All caps. No one will ignore that.
ReplyDeleteVoters will crush a single terminal vote with a big fat NO.
ReplyDeleteSly says, "we're getting a new terminal whether we need one or not".
ReplyDeleteThe bribes have been paid or are in the process of being paid. This will be a done deal like the convention hotel
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell is the matter with this city government? They can't take care of what they have, but think nothing of burdening the taxpayers with even more financial costs on items we can do without. If a new hotel is such a grand idea, Christopher J. Nassetta of Hilton Worldwide would be knocking everyone out of the way to build a new place here in Kansas City. But he isn't because he knows such a place would be a losing investment. Building a new airport to replace one that isn' broke just needs a good douche and some paint to look and operate just fine. This city government is all about having bronze plaques in place with their names on it that are saying, "Hey look what we did while fucking every taxpayer in town." Hope all you who voted for that e-tax, are God Damn happy for what you are about to reap.
ReplyDeleteI like big new things SD ^
ReplyDeleteLighten up. This blog is a joke.
And elected officials and residents in the rest of the metro just roll their eyes, laugh, and say again, thank god I don't live in KCMO!
ReplyDeleteBlowing the wad on expensive wallpaper and furniture while the foundation continues to fall down.
What a carnival!
8:00 is a total dipshit
ReplyDeleteMost of us understand that government is no longer of the people by the people and for the people. Hopefully, the usually feckless and lazy average Kansas City voter will vote this down if the Clowncil and the Obese Bowtie dont conjure up a way to build a new airport and add on a billion to two billion dollars of debt without a vote of the people. The more we see of the Bowtie and the Clowncil, the more we yearn for the return of the Funk... yes, Mayor Smartwithnothinghouser. For better or worse, he didnt authorize borrowing ruinous amounts of money which are going to lead Kansas City towards financial armageddon (or ruin if armageddon is either too big or too ambiguous a word).
ReplyDeletethe same dumb fucks that voted for the "E" tax will vote for this. who goes to the airport to eat and drink anyway?
ReplyDeleteDo as I say or else...sigh. Grimace. Nash teeth. Swallow heavily, deeply., roll eyes.
ReplyDeleteJust the beginning folks. The good news is the airport is in Platte County so we know those living outside KC wont have to watch the county pitch in their money on this airport joke, right? Just bend over and watch!
ReplyDeleteThe new airport has been a done deal for almost a decade. Just a matter of time.
ReplyDeleteI don't trust the rest of the pro new airport lobby but I do trust Jolie Justice who is the city council person in charge. She has proven to be an honest, capable, efficient legislator. You will notice that her statements to the press have been very measured and neutral. Is it a good sign for the anti-new airport lobby that she seems to be withholding judgment? Whoops just read article that stated that the full city council seemed to be in favor of building a new airport. Too bad
ReplyDeleteTKC has been on FIRE!!
ReplyDeleteSitting at the airport this morning, and the obvious signs of purposeful neglect are everywhere. At 6am, it's obvious little cleaning was done last night. The in-gate restroom has feces smeared everywhere, and by the look and smell it's been there for a while. The "easy" touch-ups (a little paint here, new carpet there) are being completely avoided. Add to these the fact that the busiest two carriers were placed side by side in the same terminal, ensuring crowding while leaving one terminal a virtual ghost town and the other boarded up. Hopefully, the public sees through the City's obvious attempts at manipulation and refuses to be played, and further, holds those responsible to account for their unethical behavior.
ReplyDeleteOh yes 813.
ReplyDeleteThis is where smart people get good intelligent discourse.
It's all because of illegal immigration 615.
ReplyDeleteTrump's wall will fix it.
